Default large cam ideas?

I just bought my '05 z51 manual ls2 corvette about a month or so ago and i'm looking for suggestions or ideas for an aggressive cam that would work well for street/drag racing. ive found a couple on texas-speed and a couple other sites, but I don't want to bore my engine just yet. (I don't trust myself to do it and I'm on a low military budget haha) if y'all could help out that would be great.

it has urrently:
-monster stage 2 clutch assembly
-tuneable exhaust (not sure the make or model)
-cold air intake
-short throw shifter

What is low budget?
Are you open to re gearing, all supporting mods that would really make it all work better?

Spend some time on this site & read all of the posts ( there are many) concerning cam swaps. Be careful going too big, the car will buck & shake at idle & will lose its streetable driving manners, how much of this are you comfortable with?

If you dont have headers then i would add longtube headers before a large cam.

With headers, cai, and our cam package using our s3.2 camshaft we see 435-455rwhp on LS2's depending on other basic mods(ud pulley, ported intake, ported TB).

We also have a cam package for the C6 at a great deal if you are not to far from Delaware.

I work a lot so it wont be driven as often as a normal daily, if that makes any sense.

I'm willing to spend around 1-2k$ on a large cam set up if necessary, and I'm willing to do what it would take to compliment the aggression and performance of a dragster but I still want to occasionally daily.

thank you, but the car is stored in Colorado springs, and I'm in japan. I will take a look at your recommendations for a solid set up.

As with some previous mentions....If you over cam, driveability will suffer. If you go large cam, but don't have all the supporting mods... LT's, CNC'd or aftermarket heads, aftermarket intake manifold, then you're just pissing in the wind.
