Sting Ray chocolate bar + Benton
A mere few decades ago I bought this chocolate bar somewhere locally. I can't find it even online today, so now it's a rare NOS candy bar. I kept it for its celebration of Sting Rays. It's a '64 with the hood indents and no cookie sheets and appears to have knockoffs. The fascinating part is that the driver looks exactly like our very own Benton Bilbrey. Same beefy look, same shades, same friendly and open approach to the world around him. The eerie part is that Benton also celebrates the '64 Vette. Coincidence? Or do '64s naturally attract his kind of driver? Something to think about. (I don't mean to single out Benton with the "Mid-Life Crisis" label, since that might apply to all of us; still ... )

I had a small box of Corvette Cookies several years ago. Yes, I ate them. Dennis

My money says its bittersweet chocolate to match the mid-life crisis motif...

When I finally got back into a Vette - my C-4 in 2008, one of the guys at the race track joked about a mid-life crisis. I said no, I started out with a Vette, and had several but in mid-life I had to do the house and kids thing and was Vette-less for 32 years. Getting the '92 put an END to my mid-life crisis!

As far as cars go I never really did grow up. I have been stuck in the 50s/60s pretty much my entire life having owned MANY sports, muscle, antique and special interest cars since I was 19. I could care less about new cars even though I sold them for a living for quite some time. Never really had a mid life crisis I guess I just lived right through it.

Dang, Lou! I’m slipping at the ripe old middle age of 38...it took me almost a waking day to catch this!
You are one of my favorite folks on forum or off. This makes me smile. It’s totally me!

And it's great to see that you're cruising around with the same fetching blonde as in your candy bar days. You '64 drivers definitely know how to have fun!

The secret is getting out - women LOVE 64's! Look how many of us are jumping on the bandwagon. Benton figured it out long ago but add up how many more of us are joining the club!

Another day another crisis averted!
we also grabbed dinner with my friend and his dad’s “repurchased” 12k mike zr-1 we drove back from Oregon this year. A little rain didn’t melt us.

Apparently, I’m having a mid-year crisis. I have two ‘64s!

So I assume the candy bar is “all original , never bit”? :-)
