Hey everyone, just got an 07 z06 with 56k on it. I have a small amount of lifter tick from time to time. Is that normal?
Also is there an faq section for the c6 z06s somewhere?

Welcome. I have an 07 as well. Yes, the lifter tick is somewhat normal but my guess is your lifters days are numbered. I lost one at 28,000. Lots of stuff on here about the valve guide issue and 07's have an issue with their rocker arms.

Where are you in SC? I am in Sumter. If your engine is stock do heads and swap to Johnson 2110 LSR lifters. The “Round 2” thread is mine from where my LS7 lifter too k a dump.

I have an HCIE 2006 Z.

Ok sweet! I did it with a buddy at my house and I currently am doing it again. Nemesis Racing in Enoree, SC does some of my work, they installed my clutch. Shane is a good guy and they have a good tuner up there. Go ahead and look into Advancd Induction to do your heads. They are some of the best for power. AHP is great for reliability.

PM me for their info.

My heads are back on and I am finishing up today and ordering PR’s. Sucks to just pull heads for them but for peace of mind it is worth it.

Had an OEM lifters start ticking at around 29k miles. It would only do it every now and then on cold start then go away once it pumped up a little. At minimum, I'd throw in a set of Morel drop-ins and call it a day.

Nice Z.....Did a military guy own that car? Reason I ask is that I think I remember seeing that advertised, and the owner stated he was being deployed or something....

Had a nice write up on the car and the price was really good for how it looked in the photos..

Best of luck with Z....

Nice! You need it Ceramic Coated as well haha. PM for info.

I do not think this was a Military guys car, or he was Army one. I know pretty much all the Z’s in Shaw.

You nailed it, he was moving back to Colorado and didnt want to take the car. It was a good deal, more than 3k below nada and the guy took incredible care of the car
