Houston, TX Shops for LS7 Head Fix
In the market for a C6 Z06 and looking for recommendations on a shop in Houston for the head repair on a LS7 to have a plan in place once I find one. If you have used any of the recommended shops, can you provide an approximate cost of the repair?
Thank you
Thank you

I got the heads fixed on my 09 C6Z at England Green 2 years ago. I have taken it on long road trips, no issues so far.

Late Model Engines did mine. They're probably the largest LS machine shop in Houston. The only thing with them is they're only a machine shop, they don't work on cars so you'll either have to remove and replace them yourself or go to someplace like Late Model Racecraft and they'll take them off, send them to LME and then put them back on.

That being said, Late model RACECRAFT and ENGINES are two completely different businesses.
LMR is run by Stephen Faraday. I had my clutch done by them and they returned my car with a pinched slave line that leaked. They replaced the slave, but wanted to charge me 1600 more dollars for another R&R. They would not return the car to me until I paid, saying the service adviser that I had worked with was no longer working with them. I showed him text messages and voicemails with proof. I confronted Stephen about it to his face and he literally told me to "prove it or pay up", threatening to put a lien on my car. In the end I paid and took him to small claims and got my money back. I have heard a story that one customer wanted an upgraded fuel system. He paid about 2300 for pump and ID injectors. They had an internal group text about the project and someone accidentally included the customer in the conversation about how they were going to bore out his stock injectors and sell them back to him. They are complete thieves and I would advise you to not deal with them. They are the sole reason I learned how to work on cars. 5 years later I have learned how to turn just about every bolt in my car, from engine, transmission, to suspension, everything.
LME is run by Brian Neely and I have been helped by Travis when re-doing my LS7 heads about 20k miles ago. They are still going strong in a 600-630 whp application. I had them clean up the heads and check valves and guides in October and all was good. I used Stock intake and Ferrea Hollow SS exhaust with BTR .660 springs. 10/10.

Frankenstein Engine Dynamics did mine. I put 34k hard miles on them after the fix. I replaces the valve springs (9k over the recommended miles for the springs) and did the wiggle test. It was still good.
