Default Fuel pump question

Bought a NAPA replacement pump for my 64. This vent tube looks like a fuel leak waiting to happen.
Has anyone used one of these?

I wouldn't put it on my car because it looks like an incorrect pump. What engine do you have or any other related details. Look at Zip Corvette part CZ-438 $69.00 Dennis

Rock Auto has AC Delco pumps for either a carb or FI engine for your '64...about $42 for either one.

This came up once before and IIRC somebody said such a pump was for a marine application...but I could be mis-remembering...

The AC Delco fuel pumps are reboxed Airtex units.

John,
I'm sure that's probably true.

Leif ..
After a 'pin walk' incident with the Airtex pump, thinking it might be different, an AC Delco fuel pump was ordered up. .. Nope . Side by side, same fuel pump as the Airtex it was replacing, with the same '4657' part number stamped on the morning flange.
