ZR1's at COTA
I was at cars and coffee this morning at the circuit of the Americas in Austin ant there were two black C7 ZR1's running on the track. Damn they sounded amazing. Did they belong to anyone here?

SilveradoSS was gracious enough to let me take a few laps in his ZR1. Felt great with the short shifter doing no lift 4-5 shifts on the back straight. Car still moves around a fair bit, more than I'd like in a track car, and really not that much firmer than my non ZTK that I had out here this summer. Limiting factor is not having harnesses.
What a blast though....thoroughly enjoyed the experience!

But I have not really scratched the surface, most in our group have more then one high value car, if not several.
Two in our run group each have a Senna inbound,
Once we had Aston Martin deliver a dozen or so of their Vulcan track cars to their owners (Adam scored seat time then too, come to think of it)
on another time we had 1964-65 Ferrari race car valued at $10M, the owner races in vintage series, there with his full time mechanic to practice for the up coming Monaco GP
Regularly have race cars, 911 Cup, Ferrari challenge cars, Trans AM, from race teams there to practice, funny thing is some are slower then some of our cars.
Pretty cool

DAMN! I thought I saw a Senna down there. Wish I could have got over to the garage area. Some really impressive cars in that group. I did see the two 570's in the parking lot for the show before they went back to the track. God I feel like a little poor guy in my C6 Z06.

It varies, but most have worked hard and were smart business people.

Doctors.. real estate... small business owners.. stock traders.. money managers.. inherited wealth...?
Cuz if these guys can afford a gt2 rs.. that means they can probably afford 5 or more of them.

This is so true,
I fell compelled to mention, even though there is a bit of wealth displayed by the very nature of the cars, everyone is extremely nice, helpful, and easygoing, you wont see ones putting on airs of entitlement. We all get along superbly, all are extremity advanced drivers, hence we don't have any drama on or off the track, very very refreshing group to be with.

So nice to see that people are enjoying their cars at the track. Really is the only way to truly appreciate these bad boys. Living up in the northeast i am literally loosing my mind just looking at my car in the garage. Going to be a silly long winter.

It's just a lap time database for drivers.
