Default Coilovers on C5 with F55 Ride Control

Hi everyone,
I have an '04 with F55 and I recently purchased a set of Aldan American coilovers. How much did yall with f55 pay to have a shop remove it from the computer? Or is it cheaper to just buy the simulators?

Thanks,
Kody

I have a Tech II that I used to turn off the that option in the BCM. Im in the Nashville area thats not too far. If you're ever out this way we can hook it up and turn it off.
If you want to make simulators (resistors) you can do it for less than 10 dollars. I don't remember how much the simulators go for, but I drove mine a few days without turning off the option. It will limit the speed on your vette. On a side note I love my coilovers. What spring rate did you go with?

Forgot to mention, I dont know that this will work with your shocks, but you could take the resistor out of the old shocks. Then plug it back into the car so it reeds as they are still on the car.

The sim's/resistors ONLY work on the F45 suspension. You are going to have to remove the F55 RPO from the BCM

Procedure to use with the tech 2
1. Hook up Tech 2, turn car on, make sure module in the rear is plugged in. Do not unplug the rear module.
2. Use Tech 2 to delete the F45 option (F55 does not appear on the menu screen, use F45).
3. Save new configuration.
4. Do not turn car off, do not remove Tech 2. Go to the module in the rear of the car, unplug the grey connector (the widest one), leave any other plug(s) in. [leave the other 1 (F45) or 2 (F55) plugged in]
5. Turn off car, leave Tech 2 plugged in.
6. Remove remaining plugs from module in the rear of car. [never plug them back in again, if you do the F45 turns on automatically]
7. Turn car on to verify the "max speed 80 mph" is gone.
8. Unplug Tech 2.
