Insurance Deductible/Comprehensive
What deductible and Comprehensive are you doing on your C7? I have a 2018 GS and have both at $500. Is that to low, they are ripping me a new one on this but I really only save a small amount on going up to $1000.

$1000 collision and $500 on comprehensive. It may be my own strategy, but unless I have a really big claim, I am going to pay for accident damage out of my pocket. Filing a claim is just going to increase my premiums, so I would never file a claim for $500 to even $1000, so why pay the extra premium for a policy that only has a $500 deductible.
I did ask my agent the premium difference in a policy with a $1000 deductible and $2000 deductible. The premium did not change that much.

$500 deductible but wish I had got a $200 deductible because I had to replace two windshields which cost me $1000 in deductibles!

If you have a claim, many insurance companies just raise your rate to recoup a percentage of their payout unless you have accident forgiveness. For example USAA allows a policyholder one accident in a five year period without raising the rate. You should pick your deductibles based on what you are willing to pay out of pocket to keep from using up your accident forgiveness unnecessarily in order to save it for a big payout should that become necessary.
