C7 2017 Stingray Z51 305 rear tire issues
I have a 2017 Stingray z51. I recently put Michelin Cup 2 305s on the rear. Traction is great. 0 to 60 times improved. Unfortunately when I hit uneven road surfaces the edge of the tires rub the wheel well. I would like to know if there is a way to fix this problem without goong to a smaller tire size. Any suggestions I would appreciate it.

you can raise the rear of the vehicle up on the bolts (search "lowering bolts" for how to). That is what I had to do when i ran 285/35R20 on my mine. Had to raise 1/2 way to stop rubbing on bumps and raise all the way to stop rubbing on high G corners at the track.

is the rub with the stock wheel?
I had the slightest rub on a different car some years ago.
I pulled the tires and had 3/16" cut off the back of the hub section by a machine shop.
It has been years with these wheels with no problems.

Raise the rear or the wheel-well cut-outs. Not much else left, apart from a solid rear end (no suspension travel).

The reason I chose that option was that I did not want to lift the rear. I was not sure how it would look and was afraid it would change the way it handled. I took it to the Dealership that I bought the car from. I bought a suspension upgrade that is GM approved. It was a 3hr download. I was skeptical but it did change the way the vehicle handled. Less bounce and les rocking on hard turns. That almost fixed my problem. There were 4 spots on my commute where I bottomed out. After the upgrade I only bottomed out on one of the spots. As far as cost. American Tires swapped the 305s for the 295s at no cost. I put 11 hundred miles on the 305s.

How far did the 305s stick out? Acceleration traction is why I'm switching over to a GS in February.

Stiffer sway bars can also fix such rubbing issues, that only happen at uneven surfaces, it at the track.

I'm running Pirelli Rosso 375's (don't measure as a true 375) on the back of my '14 Z51. I get slight rubbing at full travel with the rear lowered about half way. I have a set of Pirelli 325's which measure at about 13" width ready to go on when the Rosso's wear out and I should be able to lower it all the way back down. Pirelli does not make the 375 anymore. These tires came with the HRE's I bought which were originally built for a Stingray Z51 almost identical to mine. I'm running 285's up front - Wheels are 20"/21" F/R.
