Default Painting interior pieces

Hey guys! I have the 2LT trim in adrenaline red on my C7. I am currently converting the dash pieces to the red as well. My question is regarding the door panel pieces that tie into the dash pieces. I found a guy that will recover them in the red leather but he charges more than any GM piece that I've purchased so far! Anybody ever sprayed leather pieces a different color and had it actually match? Any other suggestions for me?

Yes. I used this on my 2016 to paint the door panels to 3lt https://www.mamotorworks.com/Corvette/search It is a perfect match. Be sure to get the cleaner and primer as well. I just masked off the areas I wanted to paint and sprayed them still attached to the car. The tape will slide behind the area you want to paint to give a clean edge. Take your time and apply a few light coats until you get the desired color. They turned out perfect and I could not tell them from the factory finish. Pictures are of the painted areas.

Very nice! If you used a clear coat what finish was it? Gloss or semi?

No clear coat. Just the finish that came out of the can with aerospace 303 coating over it. The painted areas are just the door panel trim above the arm rests. The arm rests were red to start with. The match was perfect to what was existing.

Yes, I've sprayed interior pieces for restorations over the years with very good results. The secret is taking your time taping and using very thin multiple coats for good adherence.
Spray too thick and it will crack/peel.

it's quite a challenge. I'm looking into the details..... Very hard to break into the oem sources. GM is tight lipped. I stumbled upon the vinyl source accidentally. It's like a gold strike.😁

At this point it would be worth paying you to do them 😂. My OCD with the red dash pieces not matching the door pieces is killing me.

If anybody has a can of this adrenaline red and would be willing to sell it to me please let me know. I contacted the company and there is no hope right now. They are trying to source a new provider for the paint but no luck yet.

Ha! I emailed them too. They're probably wondering what's going on. Lol!

I'm thinking of trying the Dupli color vinyl and fabric spray. Looks close to a match.
