How good is this particular DCT compared to other DCTs out in the market? Any current cars that already use it?

Also, that article is written by an amateur. Corvette is not a muscle car, for starters...

It looks sluggish compared to the PDK. Video in link.

No... this is a new gearbox Tremec just developed. The Ford is the first released with it.

I would think the fuel cut needed to help rev match the shift on a larger high torque v8 with a heavier rotating mass would be longer than a light weight v6. The shift speeds would likely reflect this.

I am not a DCT expert though.

Fuel Cut? - Other way around actually lol - it blips the throttle for you.

A pity Ford was first to market with the Tremec DCT. Now they've totally crushed the Camaro.

Edit: Tremec includes the below image in the mailer. Anyone know what it is?

A 3 or 4 year old photoshop of a C7 with a forward cabin.

Yes, absolutly, they totally crushed it. The number of Mustangs stacked up at dealership service departments with transmission issues will easily outpace the number on Camaros.

They've totally crushed the Camaro ? Look up some of the numbers that the ZL1 1LE is putting down and then reconsider your comment. a GT350R Can't touch the Camaro, this will get closer, but that's it. GM nailed it with the Alpha platform on the Camaro and ATS, it is by far superior to anything from Ford.

On an upshift you do not blip the throttle. The car will cut fuel to rev match. It’s why DCT cars burp and fart or whatever the fan boys who get a tingle up their legs want to call the sound. It is not only needed to protect the delicate DCT, but is needed for a smooth shift.

Rather have a manual anyway, so as far as many are concerned, the Camaro crushes the Mustang.

The Z06 does not use a 2.65L supercharger.

I think he meant to say ZR1, which does use the same supercharger.
