2009 Zo6 Relays
I have a 09 supercharged Z06 for about one year. When I first got the car while at the track cooling fans 60 Amp fuse melted in the fuse box!!!! causing the fans to shut down. Dug the old fuse out and replaced with dielectric grease with no problems so far.
Have had 2 relays fail!!! First was the fuel pump relay 8866 which i swapped with the windshield washer relay worked fine and just now the starter relay 8385 HD which I swapped with the rear defroster relay which works fine. My first question is my fuel system is not stock so was wondering if I can use the 8385 Heavy Duty relay instead of the 8866 for the fuel pump? 2nd question is I think I should take the box apart from the plugs and check all pins and apply dielectric grease to all connections as well as all fuses and relays top side?
Your opinion is greatly appreciated!!!!!

Melting Slicks
Before you continue swapping relays around you really should get the box apart and see if that is a reason you keep blowing relays. Especially if something in there melted at one point. It could be causing the rest of the issues. If for no other reason than piece of mind, right? Sure the pump could be putting on too much load and the starter could be failing, but taking the box open and checking for potential shorts could catch a potential issue before the next issue is an electrical fire.

That's what I was planning as the fuse relay box seems to be a problem area on the C6 as well as the fan circuit seems to be undersized for the current draw. My main question is can I use the 8385 Hi Power relay for the fuel pump?
Thanks
