Default What gains from a tune on a stock Z06?

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if anyone knows what gains you could get from a stock Z06 just with a tune?

Thanks

Janos

Nothing worth the bother and trashed warranty, imho.

actually the gains are decent but the part throttle benefits are amazing. the value of your engine/trans warranty is more of a personal choice. the rest of the car is still under warranty.

A complete waste of money and loss of warranty. If there was a significant amount of power left on the table and still be safe GM would have given it to us.

Obviously personal preference, but I think a tuned one would have to be driven to make a valid judgement.

I agree here just don't see it with this power level on the street, Now on the track running in all stock parts on the car with a good tuner maybe 20 rwhp here I wouldn't see no more. With that don't see you being able to tell the diff but running a stock z06 WITH the drivers being equal yes you should take the stock z06.. Robert

I've got plenty of customers who have tuned their LT4 and found the gains to be well worth the money. Also, there's no losing the warranty if you flash with one of our i3/T2 devices

Tune is worth 30. But 30 more to lose a warranty isn't worth it. And it makes no sense to just tune when you can do a few other basic mods with the tune and make way more. Do a pulley, intake and tune and grab 75 hp and now it's worth it to throw away your warranty lol.

Pulley intake tune seems to be the go-to. Safe, reliable. Save the tune until you do the trio.

What are these 3 mods good for power wise?

Thanks guys for the valuable input.

I do realize warranty might be at stake just was wondering what gains I could get.
20-30hp isn't much at 650 hp.
I track the car and I think power is good but could use some more always

I do have the GM performance intake, wonder how that compares to Halltech or some other well reviewed intakes...

I will hold off the tune till I do at once 1-7/8 headers, exhaust, pulley Nd maybe intake, than it should be about zr1 level...

Till then aero will be the target, could definately use some more down force in the rear...

thanks guys again!

We did, and I can't seem to find it. I'll get my hands on one and post it up.

Please still post guys I know this tuner works as far as not being able to show that something has been done on a tune. I had to have war work done on my car I PUT THE STOCK TUNE BACK INTO THE CAR JUST TO SEE AND SINCE I had LT headers on the car they checked the tune & nothing showed up.

Now you some guys in here that thinking I didn't something bad it was for elec wiring work. So no bad here.. MIKE really would like to see the diff in HP I know you can tell a diff in the seat of the pants.... Robert

Thansk. So would a ported TB and Borla Xpipe on top make 100rwhp? Just curious as I’m on the fence doing these simple mods with stock blower or upgrading to the 2.3 blower.

Don't upgrade the blower until you want well past 700+ wheel.

X pipe is like 10 HP if that. Idk anything about ported TBs and their gain. LT, intake, pulleys, tune should net just below 100 rwhp

At the time I had installed...

Halltech stinger
Griptech 2.3 inch pulley
Borla 60547
Dyno tuned at Vengeance Racing
605 RWHP and 655 ft-lbs torque

Halltech and Pulley was already installed on 1st pull on the dyno sheet. Vengeance installed the X pipe and some cooling upgrades and did the tune. So if you do the math my car on this days weather and dyno with all of the above mods did about 712HP at the crank. About a 62HP gain.
