Black Interior at most dealers. Why?
I wonder if GM gives a discount to dealers that order Corvettes with all black interior? I know color is a personal thing but I do not like black interior in any car. You will notice that on most high end and even low end SUVs and cars there is a pretty good choice of a bright cheerful color for the interior. So why is it that 90 + % of cars online at big Corvette dealers are all black interior? Must be cheaper to make black interior than bright colors?

Having owned quite a few corvettes I prefer black. On tan seats I had they showed dirt, blue jean color dye and I've seen some gray also that have showed the dirt. And I keep my cars clean. Same goes for those who want a tan convertible top, they show the dirt marks too easily. I prefer a black convert top and black interior but if you want something different you can simply order whatever you want.

I have always preferred black interiors on my performance cars. They look racey, the gauges pop from the dash and I always just gravitate to black. I suspect others feel the same and tge dealers tend to stock what sells best.

As already stated, dealers order cars for inventory in color combos most likely to sell quickly. When I'm purchasing a C2/C3 for resale I never consider anything other than red, white, black or silver and often black interior even though I don't particularly care for black as it typically shows every scuff and scratch.

It is a very common non controversial color that sells, even customers who are looking for another color will compromise and settle for black if the car has all their preferred options.

I ordered a Z06 w/black interior. It’s more popular than you think, and is why cars equippped with black interiors are more readily available. Same reason why white, red, black, and silver exterior colors are more plentiful than other colors. This logic applies across the line regardless of whether they are “high end” or “low end SUVs and cars...” If you want a specific color, then order a car to your liking... or keep looking and you’ll eventually find it.

I bought my car from Hendrick Chevrolet in Shawnee Mission near Kansas City but he has other dealerships and would be able to ship a car from anyone of those to the closest one to your area !!!! Wayne

Black interiors will go with any color exterior. Easy go to when you order cars for your dealership. Most people purchasing a car will like the exterior color first and the interior color is secondary. When I purchased my Stingray, I was looking for Laguna Blue with Grey interior and finally gave up and ordered the car.

I agree with VNAMVET. I love a two-tone interior, and grey seemed best with Watkins Glen grey. It does take a bit more maintenance, since it shows dirt more easily, but it's well worth it to me.

Any color but black is two tone interior, i hate two tone red seats I want red dash not a strip of red on black. So my choice is black doesn’t show stains. Oh I hate the black exterior trim yes you can order most of it body color but spoiler and rear lower bumper is black.

All of our cars have had either a black or dark grey interior. The only exception is the wife's 69 Camaro. It is white with black carpets. We sit on small white towels to help keep them clean.

Just bought a 19 Silverado LTZ. They only come with black interior unless I upgraded to a High Country for 7K more. I have black in my Vette and don't really care for it. Shows dust and dirt too easily and requires constant cleaning.

I have always had black interiors, but I'm going with something else on the next one. Red or gray, since I'll be buying a torch red. I know the gray is a little harder to keep clean, but I detail my cars every day anyway so not a issue with me.
But a lot of good answers to your question here. I talked to the Kerbeck and they stated that black is a good neutral color that goes with any exterior color and makes the cars easier to sell.
