New (to me) Corvette on the way!
So I have loved the new C7’s since they came out. Officially I am a Pontiac guy, I have a yellow 2002 CETA TA that I love. But there is no more new Pontiacs to buy... lol.
About a year ago my 10 year old son Aidan was diagnosed with a brain tumor and Cushings disease. 14 months, 2 surgeries and 6 weeks of radiation later he is hopefully on the path to recovery. Aidan also loves C7 Corvettes, more then my TA, though he won’t say that to me directly... lol. The colors for Cushings support are blue and yellow, now Aidan’s favorite colors. Aidan use to play full travel ice hockey, but due to his condition can not currently return to that. So with the new found time and money (hockey is expensive!! Lol) we started a search for a blue C7 we can cruise in and take to car shows.
We wanted all the extras, 3LT and it had to be a M7. With our budget at under 50k it had to be used. I came across the premier edition over the summer, showed pictures to Aidan and we both loved the color combo.
Being it was 2014 most fell into our budget but wanted to get one that was a CPO or had a warranty remaining. So few choices. Last week I found one in Utah, 4600 miles, stock, one owner, older gentleman, garage kept and a CPO. I am in NJ so shipping was a challenge, got some good info and recommendations on the forum here and it’s on its way enclosed via Intercity. Also more great info on here regarding extended warranties. Purchased a 4 year extended warranty from Dennis. So even with the shipping and warranty I was well within my budget. Looking forward to getting the car this week. Thanks for everyone’s help!

What a beauty, and what a great way to bound with your son. I see a future Corvette guy in him. Prayers that he continues to be well. Congratulations, and enjoy.

16 Vettes and counting…..
Beautiful car. Congrats! It's always fun watching the GPS of the transport truck as the car makes it's way across country to you. When my '17 GS was shipped to me a couple of years ago, the truck was parked outside of a strip club for 12 hours. I had visions of the driver doing burnouts in my new Corvette to impress the strippers.
