Thanks for sharing. Wondering if you count the cost of the donor car and parts and labor to craft the high end ($200k +) cars if any profit is really being made ? Do the shops run these cars at a loss to get exposure ?..or to seek two well heeled buyers who gotta have it and get in a bidding war at auction ?. The best thing to be is the second owner of a restomod in my opinion.

Currently a High End Restomod sold at 200K if tuly built with the BEST parts...is a huge LOSS.
If you read or talk to the builders, who sold their builds...most covered the parts bills at 200K.
Have you seen Lot number 1354 in person?
Guessing he "the builder" had almost 1M into his car, with his shops labor included.
Great validation for US RestoMod C2 guys..with QUALITY builds.

I know of at least one fellow who sold a convertible C2 at Barrett Jackson this year who said he had about $160 in it...and the car sold for a little more than $300k....so for him, it wasn't a loss. It seems to me that some of these folks, especially if they do their own paint and body could make it cost effective...considering it looks like the average sales were over $150k.....

I'm sure it took a lot of time and patience to put that list together.
It's interesting to be able to compare builds and hammer prices.
Also the seller takes a leap of faith with a no reserve auction.
