Tires- what is the best 18/19 combo running these days?
Hello
Did a search- but apparently I am not savvy enough, because I did not get my result.
I have an 09, with GY Eagle F1 Supercar G2's. The tires I have are 2011 Vintage I put back on the car after I ran Michelin Cup tires for 3 years or so.
But the 2011 vintage GY's are a little aged and I am looking to get the latest / best offering.
Looked at Nitto, Michelin and others online - but really need some advice from people happy with and running something they would recommend.
I am not a track guy, and I like the look of the GY's: I bought a set of PS 2 Michelins back in ~ 2012 or so and the rear tires sidewalls were labeled as "325/30/19" but they were clearly an inch narrower (I measured it) than the GY's. I did not like that!
I like the wide stance of a beefy performance tire, so I have come here to ask - what are you guys running/ thoughts?
TIA

Burning Brakes
I run the Bridgestone RFT tires. Pretty quiet and last about 25-30K. Very good looking tire.

Thanks for the input!
Sounds like the Michelin Pilot Super Sports are still the ticket, IN THE 345 and 285 combo------>among other good choices!

It all depends on how you use the car and what kinda power your making, the R888R is probably the best all around choice not knowing those factors. It’s pricey choice though. The eagles are garbage in my opinion. 🇺🇸

Thanks for all who chimed in here.
I ended up with the 285/345 Pilot Super Sports.
have not put a lot of miles on them yet but they definitely are quieter riding and stickier than those G2 supercars....
Just drove through a low water crossing, so wheels are slightly jacked...😜
