I'm posting here on the C-5 forum because that is where I spend most of my time. I've owned three C-5s (currently have a 2001 triple black Vert & a C-7 coupe) Lately I've been sort of on the sidelines because of health problems. I love this forum and generally check it out daily. I hope I've been a help to many of you.
A little over a year ago I had open heart surgery (successful) and they also found I had a very rare, incurable lung disease. Life had been a struggle ever since then. 6 months ago I was fitted with a tracheotomy device to allow air into my lungs. My larynx had been scarred and paralyzed during my heart surgery, thus it could not open enough for normal air flow.
Yesterday I spent the day at Vanderbilt University hospital, where they removed my tracheotomy and patched up the hole in my throat. Guys (and gals) enjoy your life! Nothing is guaranteed. I feel blessed to be alive today.
thank you for allowing my rant.

Rant away! You sound like you have a positive out look. One day at a time, and enjoy them each to fullest.
I have your vert's twin.... only with different shoes
So, because of that, I got dibs on the C7!

More and more I see people near me deal with health issues such as this. One of my good friends who is a millionaire has several toys but recently lost the use of legs and is now paralyzed due to cancer complications. He tells me all the time don't ever hold back and go for the things you want in life, but it's a delicate balance that I think we all try and navigate.
This is another reminder...Good luck sir

My motto at 75; it is a good day when your feet hit the floor. You sound upbeat and that is great. Getting old is not for the weak minded. Since this life is a one way ticket, enjoy the ride whenever you can and with 2 great looking Corvettes, do it daily if able.

May God bless and heal you, Phanni. I pray you will be healed and have the opportunity to be with those you love, and do the things you enjoy.
