Keyes Chevrolet in Van Nuys, CA--Shady
Do not buy a car here or take your car here for service, most shady dealership I've ever worked with.
They are flagged on their Yelp page for many fake fraudulent positive reviews (all from same IP) regarding sales experience--never seen that before
Took my ZL1 1LE there for service and this is what they did:
Here's a pic of my tire, either Keyes or Chevy owes me a new tire but they're both washing their hands of it.

Took my ZL1 1LE there for service and this is what they did:
- Fatally damaged bead on 1800 mile Goodyear 3R removing it to replace with new Michelin PS4S, and they refuse to accept responsibility saying it's impossible for them to cause damage--say it was damaged before they removed it and this was the first time the tire came off the wheel
- Put wrong oil filter on car causing oil leak (PF48E instead of PF64)
- Put a dent in my fender
Here's a pic of my tire, either Keyes or Chevy owes me a new tire but they're both washing their hands of it.

Considering where that tire damage is located, how in the world can the dealer claim it's not their fault? Have you asked for a meeting with the Regional Rep to talk with you face to face at the dealership?

Very obvious someone damaged it with a tool either at the dealer or factory. But now Chevy Cust service is saying they think I did it, because dealer told them I "brought tire bags to put my tires in." :-) Which means I'm one of these crazy tire remover guys who probably removed the tires myself earlier on the tire machine in my garage right (garage barely fits my car)? Why/how would I remove the tire before, from my 2 month old ZL1, if tires had only 1800 miles and I brought brand new set of Michelin PS4S to mount on wheels? I had them remove tires for first time to save the for track event Feb 2, and thought it was a good idea to pay jacked up dealer price to do this to avoid warranty issues of something went wrong! Man was I stupid :-)

Thanks, I posted this experience on Camaro6 first :-) Wanted to warn all Chevy performance enthusiasts, we have shared interests and I'd hate to see a Corvette owner have their prized possession experience the same fate mine did.

You did the right thing by creating a CF account and posting. Corvette (and other high performance cars like Camaro) owners should be very confident that their local service is capable to work on our cars. Some Chevy dealers are fine to service a Malibu or truck but don’t know what they are doing on our cars. They don’t have the experience as they don’t see them very often. I drive past 3 or 4 Chevy dealers to go to one that is top 20 in Corvette volume in the US. I’m confident in them.

I don't even know how to get in touch with a regional rep, cust service lady basically said Chevy isn't paying for this and we're basing this on no logical rationale or policy whatsoever. She refused to answer basic questions and said the conversation was over, but before she hung up I did manage to tell her in a calm voice "you are very bad at your job" :-)

Unfortunate that you ran into a dealer like that. Good luck in your attempt to get the dealer to pay for the damage.

How much is the body damage? Not sure how much free time you have but I wouldn't go to court for a $250 tire.

The tire is $400 shipped from Tire Rack, but I agree about going to court. I will continue to fight it though, it's the principal of these guys screwing me with no accountability that bothers me.

If anyone needs a great mechanic in the Valley in So Cal for basic or complex maintenance or track prep, I highly recommend Hassan at TK Automotive in Chatsworth. He's a BMW Certified mechanic and works on a lot of high end cars like Bentleys, M3/M4, Corvettes, etc. His shop is immaculately clean and he has an amazing collection of Snap-On tools :-)

I feel your pain, but that said... why in the world would anyone go to a GM dealership, any GM dealership for tire work?!? I'm convinced most cannot even spell the word. Everyone, please learn from this unfortunate's experience!!!

They are bad.... but not as much a horror story as Keyes Mercedes nearby. I have experiences with both. It’s a head scratcher to see them still in business. I shopped them when I was buying my C7. Since I had no trade and my own financing, they could only try to screw me on the price and ‘finance manager’ (add ons) discussion. Keyes is a place so bad you feel like you need to take a shower after leaving.
