Extended Warranty or not
I have a 2017 Stingray 3LT with 3000 miles. 36/36 bumper to bumper warranty runs out this October. I drive the car around 3000-5000 miles a year. Dealer said I can get a Extended Warranty right now for $2,300 that would take me to October 2025 or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. This is my first C7 and I plan on keeping the car for several years. Based on members experience would you recommend getting the Extended Warranty. Thanks

I have a 2017 GS and my BTB expires 6/20 I will be buying a extended warranty for it a couple of months before it expires. Dennis Fichtner he sells them and is on this web site a lot . Many talk highly of him . I will be buying mine from him when its time. I had a extended warranty on my 04 and it worked out well having it . Good luck on your decision.

You'll get both viewpoints on whether to get an extended warranty or not. Sounds like your quote is for 7 yrs/48,000 miles. Many folks here have used Dennis Fichtner @ Denny Mendholt Chevy [406-896-3082] for their EW. Have also recently read where Todd Sutherland @ MacMulkin Chey [978.660.8045] is quoting competitive rates for EW. You might to call either/both to get a comparison quote.

Good money maker for those generous sales personnel who give such great deals to the forum members. But like any insurance product if it gives you piece of mind then go ahead and spend the money. Not worth it to me.

I bought a extended warranty from Dennis Fichtner for my 2016 Z, with all the electronics & if you have the A8 transmission, I would get a warranty, especially if you intend on keeping the car. If you decide to sell the car one day the warranty will help sell it as well.

Worth every penny... if 1 computer goes out in the extended warranty time it pays for itself.. I had the fan replaced and just that paid for 3/4 of what it cost me for the warranty...
get the 0 dollar deductible platinum it's worth the extra price and Dennis is the man to go with... http://www.dennymenholtprotectionplans.com/

I believe it depends on how you use your car. For me, our ‘15 Z51 is my wife’s DD and sometimes HPDE car. Having the extended warranty gives her piece of mind that there should not be any unexpected $$$ expenses (I think we paid around $1,300 for it from Dennis Fichtner). For someone who’s car is their garage queen, driven a few thousand miles a year on sunny weekend days, probably not so much.

Powertrain is 5 year/60k miles anyway to cover the big stuff. Not worth it to me although I always trade when or before 3 years is up

For 3-5K miles a year? Smart money says no. If you have trouble saving put it in a repair savings account that earns decent interest along with all of the other money you would spend on warranties/service contracts. It will add up quicker than you think and soon it will pay for another new Vette.

If it a car to keep for a long time or daily drive i would get it, i purchase on my c6 but cancel it after pay off loan lol, the only problem with warranty is when you cancel early the dealer play with your money like me, i cancel the warranty before the 1k mile mark, before i pay off loan and it over 8 weeks and dealer make excuse after excuse. Plus the bad thing also is you got to pay $100 dollar co pay to have a vette inspect at a local chevy dealership. But long story short buy it if you plan to keep the vette long and daily drive in my opinion.

Cheap insurance for about $12 a month
i did a little research with a couple of vendors for a GM extended warranty..
i bought a 60 month , 40,000 , O deductible from Todd at Mcmulkin Chevrole for my 2016. $699.00
For about $12 per month its piece of mind. ...he is a forum vendor and they really try to help forum members...
if anyone is thinking of buying an extended GM warranty....give him a call.....(978)660-8045.....you won’t be disappointed...

I’m out of the Corvette game right now but I did buy extended warranties on my last three Corvettes. Never once did I need to use them. I guess that could be considered a good thing. All three came from Dennis. It will be tough to beat his prices.
