Dyno request for stock ls3 with aa setup
Morning,
Im trying to reach out to see if anyone has a dyno sheet for a build that is similar to mine. I would like to get a general idea of what to expect, because I am contemplating between a heartbeat or an AA setup. I understand no two dynos and cars are the same, but just so I can have an idea.
My build: LS3 with dry sump, regular 91 pump gas, headers, and aa setup of course. I am worried about the low end torque with the aa setup since I’m not planning on any other future mods.
I have done quite a bit of research on here between pd and centri setups. So I know that pds are going to have more low end torque but I would like to see numbers as I am a visual learner. I have tried reaching out to Andy at AA, but he didn’t have anything matching my request. He only had cars with meth and/or cams. So hopefully I’m not the only person with this type of setup. Looking forward to seeing what you all have, and thanks for your time in advance.

Really shouldn't be too concerned with low end torque IMO, as you will have enough low enough to blow the tires off at ease in low gears. The biggest difference is it may take 50% throttle instead of 20%.

2008 stock LS3, 6 speed manual, V3 SI 3.8" pulley A&A kit, 9-10 lbs. of boost, installed and dyno tuned (dynojet) at A&A Corvettes. No meth, 91 octane and stock NPP exhaust: 581/525 HP/torque.
Since you have headers, I would expect closer to 600 rwhp with the above set up, but every car is a little different.
Torque will be 500 + between 4500 to 6200 rpm. You will most likely have tire spin in both first and second gears and manage the throttle with your foot.

Based on what you said with pump gas i would say about 600RWHP with an A&A V3Si supercharger. If you are worried that a centrifugal supercharger wont have enough low end torque you are worried about nothing lol. All of the PD blowers for corvettes dont produce good numbers anyway, centri is the way to go, ESPECIALLY since your car is manual, so youll never have a lack of torque.

Cordes did a ECS blower with just 91/meth a few months back and it put down 579whp. So I'd say you'd be in that range with headers and no meth.

I have a 2011 GS (A6) which is stock except for a set of 1 3/4" headers with cats, the Magnuson 'Heartbeat' supercharger with the standard sized drive pulley and a dyno tune (7 PSI boost)
I got 535 RWHP @ 6,300 RPM and 498 Ft Lbs torque on the dyno.
BTW .... The A6 drivetrain looses approx 15% HP parasitic HP drivetrain loss on the dyno .... So 535 RWHP = 630 Net HP

Hell yeah. This is exactly what I was looking for. The torque curves are drastically different between the 2 setups.

BTW ... those 2 dips (HP and Torque) just below 6,000 rpm was the tires jumping on the dyno rollers ... nothing to worry about.
BTW ... A smaller supercharger drive pulley would certainly increase the HP on my car a bunch, but I just want longevity out of this thing, and I am satisfied with the HP it puts out as is.

Hi,
My car is a 2011, manual trans, Grand Sport.
Just had a black A&A Ti kit installed as well as the Griffin radiator that Andy suggested.
Also installed ZR1 exhaust manifolds, cat pipes, Corsa catless mid pipe and a set of OEM ZR1 mufflers.
Car was tuned at Finish Line Performance in Plainfield, IL.
She made 626 HP & 544 TQ.
Trust me me when I tell you this car is a beast. I am absolutey happy and content. Only future mods for me are to get the Weld RTS wheels and MT tires mounted that I just bought and then it’s just some cosmetic stuff here and there.
I too was looking at both set ups. Especially since I had both an Si kit and a Ti kit on my old C5. Yes this is my third kit from Andy. I think besides the blow off valve sound......love it. LOL. It’s the reliability I have had with them. No drama. Just great performance, great looks and great service.
Good luck with whichever way you go. At the end of the day you can’t really be unhappy with a Supercharged GS.

Heartbeat on my GS:

Peak power will be similar at similar boost levels between the two. That's assuming no meth injection. Add meth into the equation, and the centri's have a big advantage. The Heartbeat:s advantage is that you will see max boost just past idle and it will stay at max boost from there on up to redline. Killer recipe for a great street ride. BTW: it was good meeting you the other day.

If you're worried about getting the most torque with a centri, you should go with the ECS kit with the smaller pulley and restrictor plate.
I was actually worried about the lack of low RPM power too with Centri superchargers making full boost at redline. To my surprise, my recently purchased 707rwhp ECS powered GS makes so much power below 3K rpm's that my Nitto 555's(non DR) are completely worthless in the first 3 gears. I can't even imagine what a PD supercharger would do to traction.
