Default EFI how to route new fuel hose

Hi all

I'm working on a fitech efi and wonder how to route my new fuel hose. Any one have some pointers on that? I dont want to lift my body.

You can see how mine is routed here: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1598806948

It has been installed for a bout 16 years. It has always smelled. No leaks, no performance issues, no loss of fuel pressure, but that smell just never went away.

I just received 25' of Cu-Ni tubing yesterday. I will be attempting to route it without lifting the body. I am willing to drill holes in the frame for routing but I have yet to determine which way to go.

I may be starting this project within the next week... depending on how lousy the weather is.

Thanks,

I was hoping to reuse the old solid lines. But reading the forum made me doubt that.

What i read is that the return is too small.

I still am waiting on fitech to confirm this.

Let me know. I hope it isn't too small. What size is the factory return?

I found this on FiTech site "We recommend a 3/8″ ID return line."

I did solid line routing it the same as the original. Using a right angle joint fitting at the bottom of the rear wheel well made it easy.
You can also use OEM style plastic line, easy to bend.

Is there any reason not to use the fitech 50001 kit?

There was no way in @#$#% I was going to try to run new stainless lines. I went with Earl's VaporGuard composite rubber.
Sure I'll catch flack for it, but it was REALLY easy to use. I used the stock clamp bolts / screws and these rubber clamp vibration isolator things that were stupid cheap @ HomeDepot. (Chris @ EFI System Pro recommended them.)

If I have to replace the lines in 10 years, so be it. I'll have to replace the Holley Hydramat by then, anyway.

I have been using the stock lines for some 22 years now.....the pressure can be adjusted down to only 30 psi, and I quit turning the reg screw at that point....it runs at ~42 or so.....pump in rear tied to frame rail, under tank....high quality black rubber hose AMERICAN MADE supposedly good for ~200psi? at any rate, I have changed it once or twice through the years.....350 SBC......L98 type injection, LT1 intake these daze.....

I am putting a Holley Sniper in my 72 with a 502. I already have a 3/8 aluminum line in the car which I ran with the body on. I now have to run a return line and have 6AN hose for that. I will piggyback it on the 3/8 line.
