Love that full on hotrod.

That is what I aspire to in every build.

Thanks for posting!

That 1957 is BEAUTIFUL!!!....Be interested to know if the manual transmission was either a "5" or "6" speed?...did the upgrade include the pre-requisite "4" wheel disc brakes?!...

Did you have to Brave the unusual for California "monsoon" like rain/weather?!

Any Cross-Ram Dual Quad 1969-70 Z-28's ?!....Mark

Mark,
The 57 had a 5 Speed, I believe it did have disk brakes. Didn't see ant cross-ram Z-28's. The most interesting car there, at least to me, was an original owner 70' Hemi SuperBird. The interesting part as the owner was a 72' year old woman. She bought the car new in Pittsburg, CA. In 1970. She said she saw the car and fell in love. It's been restored 3 times over the years, the last in 2018. Very hi optioned car in LimeGreen. I was so taken by her story, I walked away without taking any pictures. The weather wasn't too bad just a little hail on the way down from Jackson then cool and clear the rest of the day.

Thanks for the pictures Chris.

I was there too, but I did miss a few of those Corvettes.

Pretty good show though.

It may not be to everyone's taste but I too love that black "hot rod" coupe.
The paint on the '67 convertible looks gorgeous also.
Thanks for taking the time to share the photos.

I'm a huge LS fan, and a proponent of putting LS motors in EVERYTHING, but I can't for the life of me, wrap my head around putting that much time and money into an LS swap, and topping it with those horrid plastic coil covers vaguely churched up to look like the original valve covers. Its very easy to mount the coil packs elsewhere and run the old school SBC valve covers. Just my $.02

I'm more taken aback by the diminutive/restrictive Air Cleaner!!!... With the rotation of the cooling fan....Disrupting the incoming air....AWAY from the air filter!!

From previous Dyno experiences....I would highly propose that air cleaner is robbing/costing 15+++ horsepower!....Mark

...WOW!!!....That woman...MUST HAVE more than a few ...Hemi vs anything encounters!!!.....The Superbird/Charger Daytona was the FIRST amalgamated car...available to the buying public...that went OVER 200 mph at Talladaga ..or for that matter....ANYWHERE!!!!

I own a Modified 1991 Ferrari Testarossa...that was been radar documented at 185 MPH!!! at sanctioned events....200+++ MPH...is FLYING!!!!!!!!

https://oppositelock.kinja.com/45-ye...n-n-1693318798

MAKE SURE to WATCH the video and interview of Buddy Baker ( scroll down) ....Talladega turns are banked at 33 DEGREES and are 5 stories TALL ( a story is approx 10 feet)...

Was the woman's car a 4 speed or an automatic?!.....Mark

Thanks for posting. I really like that show. Other than rain, it’s a great one. Here’s my car in 2017 in the car club area. More Corvettes in the current show than I recall in years past. Couldn’t go this year because I took the car with me to AZ this year.
