You can open the rear hatch with your key. Insert above the license plate. Once the hatch is open, pull on the handle on the drivers side of the hatch. It may be under the carpet. That will open the door.

Use your key inside your key fob to open the trunk. Left hand side of the trunk there are two cable releases. The one closest to driver seat opens the driver door.

Use the key that came with the key fob to unlock the trunk/hatch and pull the emergency door release cable in the trunk. Depending on the model year, the key is separate from the fob, or is like a bayonet stuck into the fob.

you should also familiarize yourself with how to exit the vehicle if you are in the car with the doors locked, and the fob fails, or something else happens. There is a lever on the floor, between the frame and the seat...pulling it unlocks the door. Get yourself familiar with both of these things, as they could be life savers.

once you get into the hatch, there are two openers, one for the gas cap and another for the door. The one for the door is hardest to find. Both are somewhere over the left rear wheel well.

Just out of curiosity, how long have you owned the car?

Two years, it is a convertible and I do not have a key nor is there a pull lever in the trunk. Luckily the drivers window was down and I was able to reach the hood lever

Suggest you read owner's manual.

check your manual. there are two hidden little levers attached to wires hidden in the carpet. The first time, I crawled in because I could only figure out how to open the gas cap. With a 'vert, you can't crawl in.

Glad you are in but you should have a key in your fob to gain access to your trunk. Once in you have a pull tag to get in on the drivers door. Tim

Note this part:

Those wires are on the driver's side, over the wheel well.

Good thing he wasn’t locked in the car with a dead battery. We’d have another dead vette owner because they don’t read the manual.

I suggest you immediately go to a GM dealer with your VIN and proof of ownership so you can get a key cut (they are the only ones legally able to do this). After that, get a spare key and fob. Once you own a key, any locksmith can cut a copy from a correct blank.

OP seems to be having a problem getting the message. Why are you having a problem with the details of where the wires are being repeated and emphasized?

Saturday my key fob didn't unlock the door on the Z06. My battery was dead, really, it was. I unlocked the drivers door with the key, popped the hood and hooked up a battery charger.
How f'ing convenient is that while being inconvenienced. I love these threads where someone is locked inside a Corvette or can get inside a Corvette with a dead battery. Life has never been so convenient.
