Default Seat height

I know there have been posts before but I would like to find the most current thoughts. Just had the seats redone on my 62. New foam and vinyl from corvette America. Installed now and they look beautiful.

Then my son who is 6’1 sat down and said “Uh, Dad. Now what?”. I am 6”2 and neither of us can sit in the car with the top up. With the top down we are looking over the top of the windshield. I want to emphasize NCRS originality. Have I just turned a drivable car into a show car?

Does anybody know of a solution that will still satisfy the NCRS?

Just how tiny were people in the C1’s era?

there's been much discussion on this issue. Do some research here, but the consensus is that new seat foam is too thick and some of the foam material needs to be removed.

First off, if they were done right they should have the original-style 'dip" in the seat; secondly there are two "kits" to redo the seats - one is the cheapier rocking chair foam and the other is more correct with different sized springs and the original burlap (more money). Where do you stand (or sit) on these two things ?

I'm 6"2 as well and found a cheap and easy solution for me. Just take the seat bottom out and lay a piece of foam (~2 inches thich) covered in cloth right on the floor. This gives plenty of room and is comfy. For show just take the seat bottom out of the trunk.
