Engine Bay Sensors
I was just replacing the oil pressure switch in my 99’ Vette. I noticed behind the intake manifold on the passenger side there was a wire that wasn’t plugged in. I have no idea what it is or does, but I had no problems driving the car beforehand. It’s almost in the center of the intake manifold, but slightly to the left and you can’t see it unless you’re really looking for it. Does anyone have any clue what it is?

I’m out of town, but I will take a picture tonight or tomorrow when I get home.
The pig tail was blue if I remember correctly. I don’t remember the wire color. I’ll know when I get home and post the picture of it

Just got back home. The engine bay is wet a little only cause it’s sprinkling right now. The pictures aren’t great as well cause it’s dark, but I might be able to get better ones in the light

map sensor... are you positive it's not plugged in?

I’m absolutely positive it wasn’t plugged in 2 days ago when I was changing the oil pressure switch. I’ve owned it for over a year and had absolutely no issues with how the engine was running. Plugged it in and my check engine light came on. There’s a chance I unplugged it while moving some things out of the way for the oil pressure switch, but I’m thinking that’s unlikely

well if the intake came off to replace the opsu then you would have to unplug the map sensor since it's seated in the intake... leave it plugged in and clear all the codes, if they come back then maybe something needs to be addressed

I definitely did not take the intake off. I worked around it. Seemed like too much of a hassle for something so small. Anyways, yeah I’ll try clearing the codes and seeing what happens. It will be a while though cause it’s still too crappy outside for me to want to drive it and next week I’m installing a cam. If the problem persists I’ll definitely seek your advice. Thank you!
