Default Battery Type - 2019 C7 - 1LT

Picking up a new 2019 C7 1LT tomorrow. Thinking about picking up a battery maintainer for it but not sure if it the OEM battery is a wet, gel, or AGM type. I think my 2015 C7 had a wet type battery but am not sure. I know a lot of vehicle brands are putting AGM batteries in from the factory if the battery is located in the passenger compartment to reduce the chance of fume problems. For example, my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee's battery is under the front passenger seat and is an AGM. I called the Chevrolet dealer parts department and they did not know. The parts guy put me on hold and asked a service advisor. He was not sure. They said they had to check with the service director and I was supposed to get a call back hours ago. Thought I would ask here on the forum.

Doesn't matter. Get the C-Tek and it'll cover you just fine.

There are cheaper models, but this is the one I have.
Amazon Amazon

I used it on the OEM battery and I'm using it on the AGM battery that is currently in my car.

The OEM is regular (not AGM) and as Elmer mentions, the C-Tek works just fine.

Elmer: Thanks. What does matter is the mode you set your charger on. For the MUS 4.3 you use the normal mode for wet batteries and the cold weather mode for AGM batteries. I still need to know what type of battery is in the 2019 C7 from the factory. Somebody has to know the answer to the question.

Elmer recommended an excellent charger, and tester, it's the one I have as well. Good choice Elmer!

Also buy the CTEK 56-263 Comfort Connect Plug so that you can plug it into the 12 volt receptacle in the passenger side rear corner area of the cargo area that is there for the battery charger. The CTEK 56-263 Comfort Connect Cig Plug costs about 10 bucks.
