Finally had enough of the crappy visors.
Was not so bad when I was in the car alone, but a friend joined me for a drive this past weekend and the visor was hanging down into his face.
Found a new pair on line $170, 2 day free shipping. Installed them today.
What a difference it makes to the way the interior looks.
It's amazing how a simple thing like this changes the look entirely, gives a much cleaner look to the interior.
And they actually stay in position and function as real sun visors.
I guess I had gotten used to the crappy visors
I was impressed and very happy with the quality of the new ones.
Took less then 10 minutes to do both.

This is, without a doubt, one of the best up-dates I've done so far on my 2001 vette. Super easy, only takes a few minutes. You won't regret it at all.

Hey guys, can I join the club? Passenger visor got wrecked last summer when a buddy reached inside to grab the convertible latch and pulled on the visor instead. Yeah, it wasn't pretty. I'll be doing this "update" in a couple months when the weather turns.

I just received an overlay bezel for my cracked HUD bezel.
1st I was going to repair the cracked bezel myself, but decided against it, too much of a PITA for me.
Then I was going to remove the bezel and replace it with a new one, then decided against t that too, also too much of a PITA for me.
Then I came across an overlay bezel, just received it this morning.
So, when I get around to it, I'll just glue this one over the existing cracked bezel.
I test fitted it and it looks perfectly stock.
This job should take under 5 minutes
Just waiting for temps to go above freezing
Between the new visors and the new bezel my car will run sooo much better and probably be faster too.
Faster for sure.
Ive added about 25 aesthetic mods, and picked up 100 horse power in the process. Funny how much faster my car is with a new head unit and seat skins..

$149.95 and free shipping. As you will see from the product description these visors are aftermarket reproductions, but supposedly improved over the OEM and using made in USA fabric to the OEM specification. I researched before buying these and in years past (so maybe a thing of the past) apparently not all replacement visors were/are created equal. Some people complained the visors were not the right shade of black (more of a grey color) and others complained the visors did not fit into the mounting bezel properly (and they had to remove some of the old part's mounting hardware to reuse).
These fit properly and were of the correct shade of black- and have updated LEDs. Most likely they are being sold by others- but this was the best price I could find. Some sellers are charging $30 to $50 more. The hinge is very positive. The seller claims the inner card is stronger than the OEM. I guess only time will tell if these live up to the billing of being better/more durable than OEM. But so far, I am a very satisfied customer.
Here is a photo comparison of my old and new visors that I posted earlier, you will note the warning sticker, but might also note that it is not an exact duplicate of the original sticker.

I here ya, 20 year old visors fail. In my 99 I just removed them. I'm 6'4 so I appreciate the extra visibility without them.
If your old visors were like mine, I can totally understand why you have improved visibility without them.
My old visors were worn to the point that when fully up, they were "parked" on the level with (maybe even a bit lower than) my forehead, and the "dog ear" was actually in my line of sight.
It was not until I installed the new visors that I realized that they were designed to lock up much higher. As you can see from the below photo, unless you are so tall that your line of sight is higher than the windshield frame, the visors don't impede visibility much if any. And while I rarely use a sun visor; there have been times when the sun was so bright...I am glad I had it.

I'm very surprised at the attention to detail re: installation instructions.
I ordered this on a Fri night.
I got a call Sat afternoon from them (Ray), he was apologizing for not getting it to the post office on Sat before they closed. He then went on to tell me he would not be able to get them in the mail till Tues, because of no mail on Presidents Day Mon.
I never expected them to ship before Tues do to when I placed the order and the holiday on Mon.
They were mailed 2nd day mail and arrived on Thurs.
