Default Front lift system

IF this car comes out someday hopefully they incorporate a front end lift system like other high end cars, I was all good on my 16 Z06 till i added the stage 3 splitter with the winglets, Then i had to build a removable ramp at the end of my driveway as i couldnt get onto the street without ripping off my new splitter

Hopefully this is an option.

Our best belief that a FALS is at least an option on some models of the ME based on this CAD drawing, e.g., the hydraulic line coming from the bottom/side of the coil/shock tower.

GM also has recent patents on movable Aero devices. Might be more effective to have an even lower air dam that comes out/down at speed that can even be defeated with a switch.

May be of interest to add a "splitter protector" to your C7 Stage 3 splitter. Although the Stage 3 winglets aren't the issue (I replaced my Stage 2 winglets with those) I added a "protector" to my Stage 2 Splitter option. It has saved my carbon fiber splitter several times. Yep you can fix your driveway but like me, you could get caught in a parking lot exit that is steep. Here are some pics and my install PDF: http://netwelding.com/Splitter_Protectors.pdf

Pic of splitter protector installed

Splitter protector, made from slippery plastic that protrudes ~3/16 inches and takes the scraping with no damage to the carbon fiber splitter

So you "fixed" the problem of being too low by adding more material to the bottom thus becoming even lower...makes sense.

Could the yellow/orange accessory on the top right be a hydraulic pump?

The other accessories are easy to ID:
Top left: Water Pump
Bottom left: Alternator
Top right: Mystery accessory, circled in orange
Bottom right: AC compressor

Sounds a bit strange at first but look at the companies website, they sell them for Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc etc! Yep it's 3/16 inch lower but a very slippery material. I had added a carbon fiber splitter to my 2014 and when I scraped the bottom edge it was ragged and looked like hell. Hard to fix. Have to be n ant to see where my splitter protector scraped the carbon fiber was not touched.

When you scrape yours you'll be upset and wish you added a protector! And you will! But to each their own!

One reason I wanted carbon fiber is it is strong and can flex somewhat without cracking or breaking. Same with my OEM Carbon Fiber side skirts. Hit those in my 2014 with no problem. So far neither I nor a passenger hit them in the Grand Sport in 2 years. But someone will!

I know guys with those cars and I still poke fun at them just the same for it, dont worry haha.

The front bumpers do have a bunch of give when you smack them underneath, it is just a funny solution.

^^^
I looked at several options as mentioned I hit the CF splitter I put on the 2014 several times. Including a cheap one I added. These were cone washers that it was said NASCAR was using. Perhaps but I could see them getting caught if I backed up after riding over a concrete wheel stop etc.

Decided the Scrape Armor product I added was far better. It was far more expensive as well! But the material feels as slippery as Teflon! So far it has saved me getting a new carbon fiber splitter twice or perhaps needing a repair of a very rough and perhaps cracked lower edge. Was told they have several auto manufacturers adding their product, perhaps as a dealer installed option. These are and easy install.

Porsche offers a Front Axle Lift system on some of their cars...expensive, heavy, and when it fails it’s a $10k bill.

No thanks, been driving Z06s for 15 years and never a problem with clearance that couldn’t be avoided.

Biggest problem I see with it is what the aftermarket might do with it:

That line from the shock may be an external hydraulic reservoir for extra fluid capacity. I don't need/want a hydraulic lift system. One more thing to fail/service.

Thanks for the info and might consider it as i would love to lower my Z06 on the stock bolts to get rid of the HUGE fender to tire gap... I have not lowered yet as my dilemma getting out of my driveway worse... but could also scrape once out on the road away from my ramp... - lowering on stock bolts also will make the ride rougher... Some time I will show you guys my ramp and angle really it doesn't look that bad ... but it's just the progression from the sidewalk to the street is enough that I need the ramp.... On another note I was at my local chevy dealer and spoke with the sales manager about any C8 news and he basically told me , you Joe public typically gets news faster than the dealer.... I find that a little hard to believe as i work for a Paccar truck dealer and I get alot of confidential info from my rep all of the time.. that i need to keep to myself...

i bet it helps at the drag strip... if the nose is already up a bit, its easier for the back wheels to catch and bring the nose up even further. Then the car can be lowered back down a moment later as its completing its run.

that is good news as an option as people have noted they don't want the the extra weight or expense.

The Front Lift System was confirmed earlier today on C8 general forum by the deleted screen shots and thread provided by a member here.

..Progress is being made on how the C8, is equipped/optioned, albeit prematurely.
