3/17/19~Lori fills her garage,C8*Corvette del's and ZR1 school~Mike Furman@Criswell
~The C8 will be my 5th new Generation I've sold Corvettes thru which means two things: I have the experience to navigate you properly and
I stay very busy dealing with Corvettes and Corvette people...doesn't get any better! I spent many Summers(1978-1992) listening to Zora Duntov
at the Malcolm Konner Corvette shows talk and one of his favorite lines was "Rumors sell magazines, not cars." I'm sure he would get a kick
if he was still around to view what's coming down the road. Zora passed April 1996 but his legacy still lives in all of our garages.
*Many months ago I started deal folders for the 2020 Mid Engine Corvette...I don't cash your deposit until your C8 allocation to build comes up.
If you decide to pass then I shred the folder and move on to the next. All deal folders are kept in a locked drawer which is in a locked room.
This way all deal folders are numbered, time stamped and date coded so no one cuts in line. I've done it this way for decades. Want to take the next step?

~This past week I hosted 12 of my 2019 ZR1 customers out at Ron Fellows Spring Mountain Race Track in Pahrump, Nevada. We certainly had a blast. Read the whole story with pics in this ZR1 section forum post.
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-criswell.html
~ All the attendee’s received a generous gift certificate from Adam’s Polishes. A big thank you to Spring Mountain Race Track for having me as their guest.
*I also got to visit with a Corvette customer that lives half the year in Las Vegas and the other half on Bend, Oregon.
Chuck took me to Lunch but not before he and his wife showed me the view from their 23rd floor...and meet their puppy, OZ.
~Deliveries this week even though I was only at a work 3 days...
~Ron and Donna M. of Frederick, Maryland spoke with me at our annual Holiday party as we are in the Frederick County Corvette club together. Ron spoke of someday ordering a new Corvette...well that day came 7 weeks ago.
The same day they ordered a new Z06 they also bought an inbound 2019 Traverse. Ron ordered for Corvette Museum Delivery a Z06 Cpe in Racing Yellow with Black Interior, CF painted ground effects Pkg, visible CF roof panel,
Jake stinger stripe, yellow calipers, Auto transmission, spectra gray wheels, Jake Center Caps, R8C, Z06 logo console lid, cf painted mirrors, Navigation/PDR, Z06 cargo mat and 2LZ Pkg. This 2019 Corvette is one beauty of a Z06!!!
They are both are thrilled with their choices.
Chris J. Of Leonardtown, Maryland contacted me to factory order a new Elkhart Lake Blue 2019 Corvette Convt just like in 2011 for his Inferno Orange GS convt.
7 weeks ago I gave him a sight unseen trade value on his 20,000 GS Convt and he placed the order over the phone. Yesterday he picked up his new 19 ELB Corvette Convt with Kalahari interior, BLUE top and Silver full length stripes.
Equipment list: 7spd manual, 2LT Pkg, cf badge Pkg, Motorsports Polished Wheels, Red calipers, Performance exhaust and much more! Our body shop added the body color full length spoiler.
I emailed him after his 75 mile ride home and they both are excited about their new ride.
The 2011 GS that they traded in.
~~Sam H. of Saint Augustine, Florida called me 7 weeks ago about ordering a new 2019 Z06 and trading in his 4,000 mile 2018 Grand Sport. I gave him a sight unseen trade in value and we made a deal.
Once his new Z06 got built I had Sam ship his GS to Criswell and then we completed the paperwork via Fed Ex. His Z06 shipped out Friday and Sam should be enjoying his new ride by now.
Equipment list: Ceramic Matrix Gray with Black Interior, 2LZ Pkg, Black calipers, Auto transmission, Black Wheels and Z06 embroidered console cover.
~Lori K. of Hazlet, New Jersey purchased a fully loaded 2018 Callaway Aerowagen Z06 cpe from me 18 months ago and she wanted a 2019 Z06 to pair up for the perfect garage tandem.
Yesterday she drove down with her boyfriend John and picked out a Blade Silver 2019 Z06 Cpe with two tone Gray/Black Interior. Equipment list: chrome badges, Auto transmission, chrome wheels, Navigation/PDR and 2LZ Pkg.
They both left for Lunch around the corner and drove back the 200 miles to their home in New Jersey.
The garage stablemate...2018 Callaway Aerowagen Z06.

Mike, thanks for putting two threads together this week!
I love reading the old print ads....they're great. But this one does it for me this week.

Thanks Mike for anther week of great pictures and stories, both with this delivery post, and the ZR1 driver school post!
Congrats. to all the new owners, some great looking vehicles hitting the American roads!
Really great color combinations and options chosen for all of them.
Favorite photo would be this C3 convertible, the greens of the grass and leaves on the trees gives us all something to look forward too shortly, or we hope!
Have as great week ahead, and continue bringing miles of smiles and enjoyment to your clients.

Thanks Mike for another great thread.
I remember the "Hot Chevy" Indy car race car. Actually, it was CART back then. I was at the Meadowlands when it ran that course. It had a NA Chevy small block V8, Sounded great but didn't fair well against the likes of Penske, If my memory is correct, this car preceded the Chevy Indy engines that dominated CART around 1990. This is back in the day when Buick also ran their V6 in CART cars. OMG that's a long time ago.
I went to all of those races at the Meadowlands. Too bad it didn't survive.

thread intro & some LV trivia
Kudos on your thread introduction w/the Konner/Zora connection and your ME folder under lock. Chuck showed you his view from his 23rd floor in Las Vegas. In that view is the Westgate Hotel which was originally the International Hotel. The largest hotel and casino in the world at the time. Within two years it became the Las Vegas Hilton.
During Elvis Presley's first 4-week concert engagement at the brand new 1,500 room International, he set a Vegas record of 101,509 concert customers. That was 50 years ago. That place was the first true mega-resort in LV, not too far from the Wynn Hotel (our stay). To the right in the pic is a hospital and med center.

2 things: Each week there's always a 1, 1a, 1b pick that I have a tough time choosing among, but this week there's a clear winner:
#2 - Regarding the C8 - I'll trust 1 person about C8 info and getting in line for one and that's you.

Sorry to do this to you Mike but, i think I'm gonna go with the 67 instead of the 63... it just makes more sense to get the big block right?

Great pics as always Mike. Just curious, in 1991 when Conner was the #1 dealer in the world, how many Corvettes did they sell per year at that time? It'd be interesting to compare then to now. Thanks. Happy St Patrick's Day!
