Default Front splitter suggestions please.

I'd like to add a ZR1 style splitter on 2013 c6z, not real CF as I am bound to scrape/drag it a lot anyway. Seems to me a flexible one would be a good choice, don't know much about them except looks nice.

I am not concerned if it provides "correct" downforce at 180+ as that will be infrequent. The car does have a modest oem rear spoiler. You can see on my YT channel in a few videos.

Prefer input from guys that have installed them, thanks.

Rear shows here when I got the car. Better near the end of the vid.

If a vendor wants to work with me that's a plus.

I just ordered this in Lemans Blue. https://www.rpidesigns.com/shop/item...w&cartid=20749 I cannot wait to get it on. I also ordered the ZR1 sideskirts to go along with it.

I have considered this add-on. Also considered a louvred hood first for at least some downforce, because, as you mention, I would crack mine off the first time I went to get groceries.

I installed and raced on the RPI ZR1 style splitter for the last 5 years or so. No issues and held up great. I'd also strongly suggest you install the reinforcement brace behind the front fascia.

Recently made some revisions to the car and am going with the C7 Carbon splitter this go around. Appears of very good quality.

Ive struggled with this and decided to try one, the cheapest one I could find. I like the look of the front splitter, I recommend the front bumper cover reinforcement. I have scraped and cracked my cheap splitter, I remove it and fix it, re paint it satin black and re install it as needed. I'll get another one when this one is too damaged to use. I'd like a carbon fiber one, but im not springing for one as long as I scrape anything. My car is at stock ride height too.

I'd like one 'without' any brake cooling inlets, as I've ducted mine to the grill. I've asked all the popular manufacturers, however none are able, or willing to make one like this up.

Having said that, I found MTI Racing has one exactly like this, and it does look like a terrific piece.
Its $1k and another $900 for the matching undertray (which I may be able to forgo and make one up from ABS sheet on my own).

But, $2k = $3k Canadian, plus expensive shipping/brokerage/15% taxes...it'd cost almost CAD $4k

Nice, too much $$$ for a piece I will wear down by scraping on street (I am stock height) Something about 2-3mm in a flexi rubber/plastic material that wears down slow & flex bounce back is ideal.

I have a Z07 package car and just replaced the stock CF splitter. Yes it was a bit pricey but I went with Katech's CF one and well worth the money. I second that you definitely need to ensure its attached to the bumper reinforcement. This means pulling the bumper. There is a great DIY posted that made the job a breeze.

I bought the below C7/Carbon FIBERGLAS ZR1 replica Splitter in Gloss Black

I can say it fits well and the packaging was excellent

I think I paid around $400

Yep! Hard to believe that with a community this size, nobody has come up with one...but the prices are so low for some of the plain, black ones nowadays that they may be considered kinda disposable. I suppose...

I just finished mine yesterday. I bought a cheap fiberglass splitter from ebay to see how long it's going to last before I buy a more quality piece. It seems as though I'm always scraping something in the front, even at the stock height. I did pull the fascia off and installed the reinforcement piece too. While I had the front end opened up I also installed a front tow hook. The DYI on the forum really helped with the project.

yep, even though i don’t have a splitter yet, I installed the reinforcement and a tow hook when I had the nose off to do my brake ducts.

The DIYs have been invaluable!! Great community here

I just did this same style on my car. It requires drilling a couple new holes from how the original mounted. But seems to be working fine. Other than being in San Diego with steep transitions everywhere the bottom paint won't last long

Me 2 in SD, friggin street drain transitions suck. Not to mention speed bumps. And parking space curbs. Arrggh! I back in EVERYWHERE.

Yep, that’s the terrific write up I used for removing the bumper as well.

My tow hook was from Phoenix Performance but it doesn’t seem to be listed any longer.
Here’s another. https://www.lgmotorsports.com/lg-mot...-tow-hook.html
