They're actually pretty cool looking if they're molded in and painted body color.

I like those and almost bought a set but didn't because my fuel system runs behind one of the ducts and I don't think they would have worked... I talked to the guy quite a bit and he seemed pretty cool

These do not include the inner ducts....so they are pricy, Also if you want to make them functional you need to buy a set of Z06 inner ducts, you also need a perfect template to make sure that when you cut the hole to mate the outer scoop mate with the inner duct, there is no room for error.
My first attempt at body work.. I did this 18 years ago... I haven't touched these in 18 years other than to Zaino them.
inner duct makes them functional
these ducts have been untouched in 18 years and about 80,000 miles
Took me 40 hours to cut, glass and mold these in.. lots of manual sanding to sculpt them

Looks like you may need to ask for royalties on the shape

It only means that not everyone has the same meaning for the term Rice.. My definition would be: a part added to appear to be functional but is not, would be in the class known here by many as Rice. No different then those stick on Z06 brake scoops. Of course everyone has an opinion on rice, and everyone is entitled to that opinion.

I'm not bashful, if you are asking me my opinion, I will say this.. Yes in my opinion it is something I would never do. something I would never lie to you and say it looks great.. You will always get an honest answer from me. You my not agree with my opinion, but I'm not asking you to agree with it, you are asking me my opinion and are you willing to accept that as my honest opinion? . I would personally think that other car guys would be laughing at me, because if I see a bif wing on a car that never saw a track and was parked in the Costco parking lot I would laugh.
Now the Small CF spooler, not the race wing ( as you are saying you are getting ) .. is a different matter.. its not in your face like the race wing.
this is the C7 Race wing which looks ridicules on a street car parked in a Cosco or STARBUCKS.
Of course this is my opinion

Does the C7 carbon race spoiler, mounted on a C5, offer any downforce? Proven in a wind tunnel or modeled? Your question may well be moot if it's a purely cosmetic modification on the street or on the track
