Default Just finished installing my new headers

I got my ZR1 around thanksgiving and have been wanting to modify since I got her but with tuning not available my options were limited. I initially installed the gm air box and the weapon x pipe for the air box. I ordered kooks 2" long tubes with their green cats and one of their pulleys too. I had the headers jet coated before hand. I have never worked on a c7 before but have A LOT of experience with c5's and c6's. The install went pretty smooth and I'm happy with the results. The car has a much deeper rumble and screams now when on it. If anyone has any questions on the install please let me know since no one has done any write ups yet. I'm assuming it is similar to installing on the z06. In the next week or two I will install the pulley. I highly suggest installing the headers if you've been thinking about it!

I didn’t have time to do the pulley yet. That will be in a week or two. I do have a check engine light.

Many tracks have noise limits that are strictly enforced. Have you measured your decibel level?

This is actually a concern for me too. However this car didn’t pass stock. Im just going to get some “Laguna pipes” made and lift in certain areas because it’s way louder under full throttle now but I love it!!!

NCM Motorsports Park is 103db. I ran my 16 Z06 there a couple of years ago. It has an "off road" pipe..ie no cats and I have Kook's headers. I hit them at 118db going under the crows nest. 1 last session and I was done for the day. I just don't take my Z06 there anymore. I've become the poster child of too loud in the Optima Ultimate Street Car series. What's really funny is my wife runs her 2018 Tesla Model X P100D and being electric it has no exhaust level to deal with. So I have the loudest car and the quietest car as well. Lol

Perhaps they will let you bye with an average.

I wonder if anyone has experience with stock ZR1 exhaust on the NCM MSP? Lifting is so hard to do!

CEL codes are an easy fix - https://www.google.com/search?q=corv...52675252458930

Also, as far as noise levels go, in track mode it roars - drop it into a lower setting in the infotainment center and it still quiets down enough to pass noise restrictions (just not as satisfying)

that obd tool came with the headers from weapon x so I’ll be doing that in the meantime but hopefully a permanent answer comes soon
