Dyno testing
When the c7z’s are dyno tested what mode is used to achieve maximum hp readings ?
is it tour, sport, or track(sport1, sport2 or ((race(with active handling off and traction control off))
Does it even make any difference ?

i dont think it makes a difference honestly.
Higgs would know for sure, but the biggest difference maker is going to be your engine temps, as COT is calculated from oil temp etc, and the richness it induces is something else
My best advice would be to get catless downpipes and put the stock x pipe back in as it is high flow cats... then you can almost fully eliminate COT from the tune i believe.
Again, higgs would know more. If you want to talk to someone very humble and full of knowledge, Chris Crawford, J Hebert, and Cajun at Edgyvettes are all great guys.
What mods are you planning on doing?

No mods now. Bms filter , but can’t tell a difference with that.
Planning on magnuson 2300 & a tune to go with that, maybe bump the fuel cut off 300 or 400 rpm.
thats it

Dyno Settings
Mine was dyno tested in 4th gear as you want 1 to one ratio. I was told the settings didn't matter but we had it in "Sport Mode" with TC off. Only engine mods were BMS filter and Mamo PTB. I did those mainly to eliminate the annoying hesitation just off idle and it got rid of most of it. On my M7 Z, my rear wheel was 589 h/p and 587 torque. Car is strong as is, so working on driver mod and fitting better quality and much lighter weight wheels/tires. Goal there is to increase handling response, reduce total un-sprung weight by 40 lbs, with an 18/19 forged monobloc set-up shod with non runflat tires.
Only other thing I will do in warmer weather on the track is run 100 octane lead free which will reduce somewhat the onset of the car's overly eager tendency to pull timing. This according to VP fuels...

M7, dyno in 4th
A8, dyno in 5th
TC off, Modes don't make a difference in power production. May as well use Track Mode though.
Make sure you cool the car off well before you make the pulls. Then make a hot pull and see how much it drops.

I double checked in the other thread. Its dyno in 5th... and if a persons dyno spins fast enough... its dyno in 6th, as the A8's 6th gear is 1 to 1 they said... which matches up with the 5th gear dyno pulls im familiar with on the A8.

You are correct. I meant to type A8 dyno in 5th..... mis-typed, fat figured and senior moment at the same time. We definitely dynoed mine in 5th.
