Brake caliper decals for C7 GS?
I'm thinking about getting my 2017 GS brake calipers painted. I'd like to get a set of the Corvette decals to put on, but all I can find are C6 GS decals or C7 Stingray decals (CorvetteMods). Anyone know if I can get C7 GS decals somewhere?

My calipers are imprinted with; "CORVETTE."
Why do you want to change that??!

I don't want to change the lettering. I want to change the color, which will cover over the "CORVETTE". Want to get new "CORVETTE" decals to put back on once the calipers are painted the new color.

But then
Hmm, and they stay stuck when the calipers get HOT???
SIDE BAR
Was curoius about the max temperature that a caliper can get.
A quick check shows the glue on vinyl comes in a range of temperatures vary as does the for vinyl itself, some show 200+ F.
Power coating which some have used successfully has a maximum temperature exposure of 350 degrees.
Paint designed for calipers is shown as capable of withstanding ~ from 500F and some 900 F
Info on max caliper temp varies but some race cars exceed 500 F.
Range of Max Temperatures:
Of interest, Tempil (often used to check tempertures when welding) have a "stick-on" indicator that like the Tempil Sticks used in welding has indicaor salts that melt and chage color at various temperatures. Quoting:
"Thermax Irreversible Temperature Indicating Labels are used by top teams to document temperatures that can't be measured during actual use. Each strip has 6 calibrated windows that change color permanently as soon as a specific temperature is reached. The label (shown in a photo below) was exposed to heat between 410° and 420° F on a Brembo Caliper."
So whatever that lable is made from and the glue used, it stuck! They also make these labels in lower temps they can be used on other components, from oil tanks to shock absorbers.
I found a vendor or eBay who was able to print me a set of CORVETTE vinyl decals in the right font and size when I painted my GS calipers.

I wonder if putting clear over the newly painted calipers will help or hurt to keep the new Corvette caliper stickers / decals to stay looking good for years to come?

I painted the calipers on my Audi S5. I applied vinyl decals and did several light coats of high temp clear. After 5 years they were in perfect shape. Mind you a didn't track the S5 much.

You can email Shawn at fourthodesigns@aol.com He sent me out some for my DIY project about 8 month's ago he can also make you whatever color you want, he actually sent me out a couple of extra pairs because the sizing wasn't perfect.

Mine have a high temp clear and haven't changed with time but I don't track my car so somebody else might have a different opinion.

I can't help more than what the others have suggested. But, I will say do not order them from CorvetteMods. They're not the most reputable company. I sure others here will agree with me on that.

I repainted my calipers and made these decals myself. They've held up to one track day and a lot of aggressive driving for over 8 months now.
It says Corvette way too many times on the car already ... why not use the actual manufacturer of the calipers?

Contact R.O.E. Graphics. I tried the Ebay stickers and couldn't get them to match. I was only redoing one caliper. They made them to my specification, gave me extra, shipped them quickly and only charged me $16 if remember corectly. Great people to work with.

Simply panit entire caliper, then use sandpaper to remove the paint from the lettering. It's raised and is a simple procedure, leave the lettering silver color.
Wrap a piece of medium sandpaper around a small block of wood and proceed to sand the flat surface of the lettering

easiest way.... take some go-jo hand soap on a cue-tip and cover the lettering, then paint the whole thing.... after the paint dries the go-jo will wipe right off leaving you the original lettering. good luck!

What color did you want to change the caliper to? We offer powder coating and put the Corvette logo back on it
