Default Not one...but 4 bent wheels on my '19 GS

Sorry Tadge... calling BS. This is my 3rd C7, the last being 16' Z51 package... have I moved ? no.... is there excess construction or roads that look worse than the Ho Chi Minh trail that I drive on ? Nope, Have all of my Corvettes ( including C6 GS and Z51) been daily drivers ? Yep.
Count em ... (4) wheels ...all bent (slightly as I have not seen them yet) This would cost me $3200 if I did not religiously get the insurance... something does not pass the smell test with the frequency of these claims....just sayin...

Were they chrome or black or painted?
Does one of these have more issues?

The tire and wheel insurance saves you money on these problematic wheels, but merely prolongs the headache of dealing with wheels prone to bending or cracking. Better investment for peace of mind is forged (monoblock) wheels. Waiting for mine to arrive so I can cancel the T&W insurance....

I always wonder how people like the OP explain the literally thousands of other Corvette owners (and yes many are DDers) who don't experience this problem? I'm not saying you haven't experienced it, but it's clear that many don't. There must be some other factor otherwise everybody would have had bent wheels...

That said, I hope your luck improves.

Inconsistent Chinese quality is my guess. Glad the Z51 has forged wheels at least.

When I bought my Z used, an inspection by Chevy found a cracked rear wheel. The dealer replaced it. Then I came here and found all these posts about it.
So when I ran over one of those hard edges in a construction area last fall I was a bit concerned. I didn't lose any air and didn't feel vibrations.
Finally had my spring oil change last week and no cracks were found.

The z51's have "flow forged" (rotary forged) wheels. Better than cast, but not true "forged" wheels

I guess I don't have it so bad. I still have one straight front wheel and both my rears are cracked.

Yep my Grand Sport Wheels come from Mexico. No doubt the European based company Tadge said they buy from who has a plant in Mexico. In an early BASH they showed the Rotary Forge process used to make them. Lots of cold work and assume they are strong enough WHEN MADE PROPERLY.

Could be a QA issue if NOT the pot holes Tadge blamed in a post. My optional "Machined Faced Aluminum " wheels are fine in 2 years.

Count me in.....2 bent Our roads suck, but my 2013 GS survived since new with never an issue. 2019....2600 miles and started to notice a vibration.

I'm having them straightened to the tune of $500. If it happens again, Forgeline here I come.

I get it... as i said ... same town 5 Corvettes later ....4 bent wheels. To be honest on any of my cars the insurance's main purpose is to cover the tires ... the most vulnerable and in the past I have replaced as many as 3 on my 16' due to nail's/ screws .... something stinks and it sucks

I am that guy that slows down at the rail crossing.. my man .. I am not here to comment on the "Thousands " of other drivers most of which are not on this forum to share these experiences ... that is what I am doing ....sharing, ok.. and venting. I put about 70 miles a day on my C7... I can count the number of C7's....of any model/year that I see in one week ....on one hand. So if these wheel have a vulnerability, odds are I will find it before most that tend to only drive on weekends or occasionally ... my opinion. I cannot account for any episode that would warrant this many wheels at one time .

Something does stink. Too many instances of bent/cracked wheels on GS/Z06s. I'm just going for peace of mind at this point. I also bought A/S tires already mounted on the forged wheels. The tires come with a 2 year road hazard warranty. That's why I will cancel the T&W protection as soon as they arrive - otherwise I'd be paying $$$ for 3 years of tire only coverage since non-OEM wheels aren't covered.
Going to store the OEM wheels with mounted summer tires until I either sell or trade the GS. Then they will go back on the GS and I will either reuse or sell the forged wheels
