Photo quality for sale ad
I would appreciate some feedback on the quality/adequacy of some exterior photos that I would use to advertise my car for sale. I only took one interior photo but will take more. Feel free to send me a PM. I am not a great photographer but I did use a decent camera.
This link will take you to the photos: https://photos.app.goo.gl/DrgyS3nKiuTGyzNBA
Thanks.

It is a good start. I would suggest you go to Bring A Trailer (BAT) and look at the photos there. They tend to be the most comprehensive. Make sure to talke some close ups of the seats, especially the driver’s side seat bolsters. BAT does a good job of showing small blemishes in the paint and interior and does more of a full disclosure.

I would say best shots are right after sunrise or right before sunset. Huge direct sun never is great, unless it's insurance damage pics, (lol) It looks like they are a little overexposed due to bright sunlight? Do you use a tripod? Is it an SLR or Phone? It would be better to have points of light not broad areas washed out in sunlight. Watch what is reflected in your car, be aware of what is around you. Here is a link to a little tips page I had seen before with some good tips. I am sure there are others. At the end of the day pics are subjective to the opinions of others, but not yours.. you have to be happy with the pics you take at the end of the day. I have spent hours trying to get that "great" hot.. it takes a bunch of planning and effort sometimes.

If your using SLR I might be able to help. I use a 5D MK3 and Canon lenses of all types. I have taken a lot with a macro lens that can do 1:1 as well as macro for some good pics. I enjoy taking car pics, but sometimes I really have to plan and carry a bit with me.

Thanks for the feedback. I did advertise a car, 1985 BMW M635 Euro, on BAT a few years ago. As I recall I did send them almost 100 photos. They also coached me on what specific areas of the car to photograph that were known areas of concern. I am a newbie to the Corvette community and not familiar with what Corvette aficionados like to see in photos.
I will get the interior all cleaned up and try and take some photos that will show that the interior is like new including the carpet. I've used Weathertech mats in the winter months and aftermarket Lloyds mat the rest of the year. The factory mats are in my garage and never used. Seats are free of any marks, scuffs, etc.
Have I included photos of all the exterior areas of interest? What about the engine bay? Anything in particular that needs to be highlighted?
I don't own an SLR as I gave it to my son. All I have is a small digital camera, which I used, and my cellphone. I can tone down the brightness using Google photos editing.

Also, you might wanna detail the interior a bit before snapping anymore photos of it.
It looks kinda rough (scuffs on sill plates trim, etc)

For sale purposes a less busy reflection would be better. Hard to really see paint.

You might want to replaced those scuffed/scratched-up sill trim plates as look beyond cleaning. Are only about $65 and take about 15 minutes to install.

Sir, exterior looks fine. Interior needs work. When selling this type of car consider describing how well you took care of it and what maintenance has been done. Looks clean, detail the inside and describe the history in the ad. Add a few full view oblique shot as well.
good luck

Post a ton of photos of the exterior and interior, list of exact mods, service records, photos of tire tread, and a video of start up/idle.

Thanks for all the feedback. I just finished detailing the interior. The sill plates are not scuffed, in fact they are covered with Expel. I will take photos later today and add them to the album. Again, I do appreciate the feedback.

When I'm looking to buy, I like to look at pics of the engine compartment...after all, part of the attraction to the C7 is the engine! Also, a couple pics with the roof off. I come across people that dont know the roof comes off. Put it in the back in its holder and snap a pic of that also. Show all the configurations...good luck!

All your pics are taken from a standing or a kneeling position. They all look the same and there is lots of repetition. Get a ladder and get up higher. That might help eliminate the overwhelming reflections. Also, your background s always your house or garage. Consider taking the car somewhere more scenic where the background is not as close, like the seashore or along a lake.

I need to hire a photographer! Took interior photos, engine and rear cargo. Not very good at all. I also agree I need to go to another location. I do have some other photos taken on an earlier date that I will add as I think they are better quality.

I'd add a few pics of where there are scratches or marks in the interior. People will assume a three year old car has some minor damage somewhere.

I'd wet a rag with some detail spray/back to black on a rag and get those wheel wells clean. All the little things are a reflection of how the owner took care of the bigger things...Good Luck, good looking Vette!
