Default Strong Exhaust Odor

Curious to those with headers and no cats..........how is the exhaust odor at idle for you guys? Mine is pretty dang strong. Had it looked over and everything is nice and tight, no leaks. Is this just one of the by-products?

Thanks.

I have the H/C/I package from RPM on mine and it’s very strong. I wouldn’t be concerned.

Wouldn't it be better just to use a high flow catted X-pipe? I mean how much power can you lose? 5-7hp?

Yeah... it's strong. One of those things that's subjective but totally worth it IMO.

I ran ARH high flow cats and then no cats; I could not tell the difference. Strong smell each both cases on a H/C/I car.

Put cats back on please - no one cares about the lost 5 HP, but we all need to breathe.

Why put up with that smell? What, for less than 10hp gain?

My girlfriend says I smell like gas after going for spirited runs with the windows down. I used to ride motorcycles so its normal for me though.

Proof they will hold up other than their website?

Also...$1000USD for a pair.

Looks like they are a metal substrate vs ceramic (the typical ones that melt). Will do more research. Thanks for the tip.
