It has been noted here multiple times by myself that I am avidly looking for a nice C6 GS, preferably black and even more preferably a Centennial edition coupe. I can’t help but think prices will go unbelievably low on C6s when the C8 comes out. I’m talking like 10-17k max for 2005-2007 base C6s in good shape and like 18-26k max for 2008-2013 base+ GS C6s. That’s making me hold off just a bit longer even if I have to wait til 2020 to snag a beautiful C6. How low do you guys think the prices will go on C6s?

Same goes for the c4 like the one you have.
2k c4 gets you nothing. 10k c4 gets you a bad *** car

Jaime and Spaceme I hear you.. I’m talking when the good ones even go down lower in price. I may be wishful thinking but I really can’t believe that they won’t go down in price at all. Maybe even a couple thousand. Who knows. I’m very hopeful for it though lol

Also I don’t have the C4 in my picture anymore. I sold it almost 2 years ago. It was a great car and with a few mods it woke right up. C6s will go down in price the question is how much. I’d like a deal like that on a C6 GS in the mid to higher 20 thousands. I’m not trying to devalue your cars but let’s be realistic, prices are going to go down like they continue to do on every corvette. C6s have not reached their floor on pricing yet.

I don't think he's dreaming at all and if the C8 comes out with a price tag around 70k like some are saying, C7's will drop like a rock and drag the C6 down right along with it. The real key IMO is going to be how affordable are the C8's going to be.

The C8 is a huge departure from the traditional Corvette. As good as it's definitely going to be, there will still be demand for the traditional layout. I've been watching the C6 market for two years in preparation for buying one myself. Depreciation on high-demand C6 models like the GS and Z06 is slowing down rapidly while the base C6 continues to fall. I don't think the C8 will have a huge impact on certain C6 prices.

I think C7 prices will feel the only hit for any number of reasons. The C6 is destined to join the C2 and early C3's as "classic" Corvettes in the lines they have. The C7's will join the C4 as the albatrosses in Corvette history.

C8 arrivals won’t change anything in C6 prices

C3 owner here dropping by the C6 section to learn more about the C6 because I plan to add one to my collection when the price drops after the C8's hit the market. The C6 and C7 will take a price hit, it's just a matter of how big. I've seen it with every new Corvette introduction since the C2 and see no reason it will not happen again.

Personally think that if C6 prices go down, it will be small. It is the c7’s that will take the biggest hit. There are lots of new ones still sitting on dealer lots. They will have to drop prices to clear them out, that will depress the market for them even more.
The only thing that will lower prices on C6’s is the fact that they are getting older and the mileage is going up on all of them.

I agree with most that the C6 will be deemed the classic of this era and cars like the C6 Z06 and Zr1 will go up in price as many years pass. Iceaxe hit it right on the head. This is my point.. I KNOW prices for C6s will come down directly after the C8 comes out. It happens every single generation without a pause or question. How much though is the question. I could be off on my assumption of how much, maybe it’ll be more like a thousand or two which you won’t even really notice. And then at what point, how many years down the road will the C6 prices start rising? For the foreseeable future as I’ve said I don’t believe that they’ve hit their floor yet in terms of pricing. I think sometime after this C8 comes out they will go down in price a bit but slowly rise in price thereafter as the years go by and they become more of a collector, especially the Zs and GS’.

I agree lol it’s eating at me daily I’ve been seconds away recently from looking to trade in my 2015 Mazda 6 Touring on a C6 purchase, just haven’t quite bitten the bullet yet. There have been such good LS2 deals that I was even looking at some of them... for like 22k with very low miles and immaculate cars but I know the LS3 is where I want to be and preferably a GS so I’m trying to hold off. I do want to thoroughly test drive all models in the same day though before I make a final decision, including C7s. Right now it’s crazy though C5s have pretty much stopped going down in price while C6s are continuing to go down. They’re very close in price nowadays which is mind boggling to me.

Hopefully it doesn't apply in your case, but at some point you need to factor in your age and health prospects before you decide to wait another year to save some $$. At this point, I wish I had pulled the trigger sooner, because I sure do enjoy driving and touring in it. It's pure enjoyment. Don't cheat yourself.

If your waiting to just save a cpl thousand your wasting valuable time that you could be enjoying your car. When I bought my first Vette the only regret I had was that I didn't buy one sooner.
