why Mustang are sounding that bad?
Yesterday i was following a GT on a rural part of the town, every time he left from a stop he was bleeping throttle trying to impress me and it really sound like ****,i was laughing alone in my car wondering how come Ford engineers after more than 30 years have never been able to make the 5.0 sound like a decent V8.

I have to disagree, I very much like the sound of the Mustang engine, always have… Can’t bash any of the American cars in the performance market right now. What I do enjoy is the respect we still get in the C6.

I think that they have a really nice V8 sound unless you were behind a 6 banger.

I've noticed that it is easy to make the 5.0 sound waaay too loud and the drone will be so terrible that it makes the sound obnoxious if they aren't using the right exhaust combo, but when done right they do sound very nice even stock they sound great.

Mustangs generally sound better than Corvettes.
That said, I never hear them anyway because they're so far behind me.

Mustang's 5.0 usually sound much better than a C6. I think it has something to do with the firing order.
Hey, there has to be something I like about them, right?

The LS is the worst sounding V8. Stock 5.0s and 6.4s sound WAY better.
The 5.0 (if it was a 5.0) you were near likely had some hacked up exhaust and that's why it sounded bad. Or it was confirmation bias.
My dad had a 13 Boss 302 LS. It sounded amazing, WAY better than the vette. It was faster around town too, with it's super short gearing and man was it fun. It didnt have the top end of the vette, but it was a little monster on tight tracks and on the street.

Those Coyote 5.0s sound mean! Those things run like 7500RPM from the factory and go even higher when they're built. Wish I had that many RPM.

Have to agree with the majority here, the Mustang V8's typically are the best sounding. I have quite a few friends who agree. Is there a difference in firing order between the Ford & Chevy V8's?

I used to have a '11 Mustang GT, and in my humble opinion, all those higher rpm's isn't really all that useful for street driving. Track driving, yes. That being said, our C6 Corvettes have a better balance between street & track driving.
