'64 Coupe Fuel Gauge
When my engine is running, my fuel gauge pegs at bottom of gauge, when ignition switch is off it goes to correct reading. What could be the problem? Thanks

Unlike other generations of Corvettes the midyear sending units are "powered" - meaning ignition voltage goes to the tank unit...when your ignition is off the indication is just "floating" as there is no power to the sender, when you power up (ignition one) the sending unit is getting juice but something is wrong with the wiring or the ground.... The sender terminals are different sizes so hard to mix up - but confirm the connections are correct, and tight, and no wiring is pinched or frayed..
