Bought some Michelins
Got rid of, finally, the Goodyear’s on my 2012 GS. Purchased a set of Michelin AS3+ run flat tires. What a world of difference, light night and day.
The car no longer rides like a Flintstone car on rocklike tires. The Michelin’s are smooth, ride great, and handle just as well as the originals. RF’s have apparently come a long way.

Michelin makes quality tires for sure, I wouldn't use anything else on my Corvette

Nearly any new tire will be better than the factory Good Years. Michelins are the best. I put a set of Pilot Super Sports on my Grand Sport a few months ago and they are awesome. Put a set of non-run flat Pilot Sport A/S+'s on my other car and they are also spectacular.

The Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ is an all-season run-flat tire with very good grip all the way down to sub-zero (F) temps. They are my first choice as a winter tire, but it is NOT a true snow tire. (I'm running Firestones for high performance summer tires until they wear out. I'll replace them with Michelins.)

I too just put the AS3+ on my 08'. Replaced due to age not mileage, but I agree, they are a HUGE improvement! They stick great and handle rain well. I like fall drives in the upper 30s/low 40s where true performance tires should not be used.

Now imagine how much better they would be if they weren't runflats!

My experience with the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus run flats that came with the car a little over year and half ago, may have changed my opinion.
They were installed about 2 years before I got the car, and had about 3K miles when I bought the car. So as of today, they have 14K miles and 4 years old. In the beginning, they were a little harsh riding, but handled very well with minimum steering input. I keep the recommended cold tire pressure of 30lbs.
As the tires wore the steering input started to get heavier on turns. As of late, I've had to add 2>3lbs per tire cold to compensate for the increased steering input required now. Better, but not perfect.
I'm seriously considering staying with Michelin, but not with run flats. I estimate that I have about another 12K miles before they need replacing.

I too just recently put some new Michelin AS3+ run flat tires on my 2009 and am very pleased. Definitely a much improved ride with these tires over the stock GY tires that were on it. Living in Atlanta, I can drive my Vette pretty much year round so I wanted some good all season tires that could handle the colder months (we don't get much snow here and when we do, everyone just stays home until it melts!). And I noticed a very significant drop in road noise from these tires. My GY tires were crazy loud!

I went with the same set up last year and couldn't be happier. I find the ride extremely smooth and the peace of mind of the RF. All the debate on here about run flats vs non had me questioning my decision but I'm glad I went with RF and I don't think I am giving up any ride quality.

Crap! You guys are driving me nuts with the ride/noise/peace of mind/chick magnet attractability/traction/snow/plugs/pliars/compressors, etc of different tires! LOL Run flats, non run flats, Flintstone concrete solids. The only thing we seem to agree on is that the Goodyears suck and make about as much sense as the time Harley Davidson brought in Elton John as their surprise guest at a huge rally in Milwaukee.
Bruze makes the mot sense. I live in BFE, and I can literally drive over 3 hours and not go through a town until I hit Trinidad, Colorado. I will skirt a few small towns, hit two stop signs and two flashing red lights. I think I will go with the Michelin run flats, spend $300 more for peace of mind, and not worry about it for 30,000 miles.
You guys are awesome, by the way.
