Default Z06 in Australia. Long time since post

Hi all
It‘s been a loooooong time since I’ve posted, apologies, BUT I STILL LOVE MY Z06.

Work on the Z06 since last post include LG coil overs and LED Fogs and Main Beam. I’m trying to do HID low beams but with the left hand drive to right hand drive conversion I’ve got a few challenges like ordering new ballasts. I’ve also got new ceramic brake pads on the way.

I’ve had a couple of issues which needed a replacement fuel system evap solenoid and a replacement NPP solenoid.

I’ve got gloss black wheels to put on and side skirts that have bad stone chips so need repainting.

the C6 Z06 is still an awesome design and an awesome performer, it turns heads all over Australia and you know it’s hard to beat with performance.

I attach a few pics from Australia’s recent national meeting

After dropping big $ for the conversion, glad you'd a few bucks left over to do more.
A few lovely very healthy young lasses there, too.

Never had beautiful babes around my JSB Z, you're lucky that way.

Betting pretty rare, as are any/all other US built muscle cars.
AU does not permit imported vehicles w/o RH conversion, first.
Needless to say a L-R conversion is not an inexpensive endeavor.

Hi mate
Corvettes aren’t too common but there are a few around. There was 86 cars at the National meeting, and 4 were C6Z, 1 C6ZR1 and 1 C7

Hi mate
It was the Gold Coast over Easter. I’m in Port Macquarie NSW.

i visited Cairns last year, great place.

Yeah prices for Z06 are sort of static, and not sure if C8 will come or not

Love the Goldy. Grew up in Toowoomba. Love the Northern NSW too. What was the word among the people in the Corvette world about the C8 for Australia.
There is a c7 z in Cairns too. I'm the only c6

There wasn’t much chatter about C8, guess folk are waiting to see what happens as there have been many rumours before.

It already has, a test car is here for release in 2021 Model RHD

I bet sitting next to the test Mule car. No idea of pricing yet

Yes I saw some Z06 for as low as $80k and the conversion was $55k making the car only $25k AUD

I've heard around $120k AUD for the base c8? HSV's converted base Camaro is mid 90's and the ZL1 starts at 160k.
So, I think between those 2 Camaro figures on the low side is probably close?

Yes they won't Compete with HSV on the base Camaro, but will be cheaper than the ZL1 HSV, I am told over 100k but under $120k

Depends on the Aussie Dollar I guess

Really C8 RHD? Find that hard to believe. Last I heard from Holden was there was no intentions for the corvette to come RHD any time soon. Considering how poor sales are on the RHD camaro I seriously doubt GM is investing money into a RHD market.

The corvette coming to Australia has been rumoured for the last 20years and nothing.

As far as prices going down on carsales some people have sold cheap (not all cars equal) but that don't mean that is what they are worth. Bringing in one from the USA now will cost you approx 120k for a C6 once all said and done.

C6 the best corvette anyway, with time they will start going up.
