Default MGW flat stick pictures

Just thought I would share some pictures of my MGW Flat Stick that I installed in my 2019. Absoulty

so far the best mod to date. Wish I didn't wait as long as I did to do this!

I also wasn't a fan myself at first but I have to admit it is starting to grow on me. I do love the feel of it though.

Yes it does stick out like that for the flat stick. You can get the MGW where it doesn't show, I just personally liked the look. No need to be sorry at all

Form Follow Function!!

I put a 2 1/4" Cue Ball shift **** on my 2014 Z51 and it was a help in my often used 4th to 7th and when the fluid is cool, 1st to 2nd. Loved it! Fit my "Fat Hands" better than OEM, 11% shorter shift.

Manufacture changed and that same aftermarket **** when installed on my 2017 Grand Sport started to vibrate after 6 months and caused an objectionable buzz. I could stop it by grabbing the OEM shifter though the shifter boot. Vibration stopped.

Installed the much higher quality MGW "Flat Stick" shifter. In my case the "Flat Stick" with screw on cue ball I bought separately to get full size 2 1/4" diameter "actual" pool ball size.

Love it, no vibration, smoother shifting and 25% shorter stroke. The housing and bushing are so much better no extra force required even though stroke is 25% less.

Here are some pics:

2014 Z51 With 2 1/4" Aftermarket **** on OEM Shifter

2 1/4" Aftermarket **** on Grand Sport. After 6 months Started to Vibrate and Buzz.

MGW "Flat Stick" with 2 1/4" Cue Ball ****

MGW Kit. Note Machined Shift Rod Base, Quality Bushing NOT Like OEM Stamped Steel Housing Parts and Inferior Bushings . Includes Extra Sound Insulation. Alignment Fixture Included Makes it Foolproof.

I love the MGW flat stick but the forum vendor with a performance lower box upgrade seems to be a solid deal if you don't want the flat stick.

The performance may be an upgrade but as far as looks I like the look of the stock shifter better.

Good thing you guys chose a ball that has the shift pattern prominently displayed. It would be terrible if you forgot.

^^^
Yep at my age, need it!

Actually I ordered my **** and although that company had a 6 speed, I sent in a pic of my C7 pattern at their request.

Probably what mine has smaller numbers than the smaller one shown that is sold by MGW!

For those who do not like the flat shifter, MGW also makes a traditional round rod shifter and various sized shift *****.
I had a MGW shifter 7 years ago in a 5.0 Mustang and it was a tremendous improvement over stock. When I purchase my C7 M7 I will also get the MGW shifter but not sure if I will do the flat or traditional round...You can look at their website and see most of their offerings..They are very well made and far ahead of stock shifters..Never missed a shift after I went to the MGW but with the stock shifter you had to be very careful...

When I had it installed in my Mustang, it was more positive and a solid feeling compared to stock and had no slop .The gears all felt like the were always where they are supposed to be and every shift was positive and never hesitated. A really solid piece of engineering. Like most things in a stock car everything is built to a price point and the MGM is simply a more expensive product.
However, it you are pleased with the stock shifter then there is no need to change. It is all about preference..
