On C6 it's covered under "Auto Lock" features/operation in owner's manual.
Same w/ C7 I'd guess.
Horn honks if it's set to, turn it off & you're golden.
Or, should be.

While Landru is telling you something true, the car is honking at you for a reason.

Before you turn off the notifications, it might be wise to find out what it's saying. Can you give us both your exiting and entering scenarios? I doubt it's about a fob, though, because that is usually three honks.

I, also remember a thread about only two honks recently. I don't remember what the upshot was, however.

My seems to honk twice when I have the fob in my pocket, open my door to fuel leaving the door open, and then getting back in and closing the door. I'm sure its some software setting. I believe if I close the door when fueling and get back in it doesn't do this.

If you leave the door open after exiting and the renter and close the door it does the two honks to warn you that you have left the fob in the vehicle. It does not take into account that you are sitting in the car. It simply knows the door was opened and now is closed and there is a fob in the vehicle.

Agree with this but there are 3 Es in reenter. Also might need an "n" on the "the". Your brain is typing faster than your fingers.

Thanks for all of the info.. That is exactly what happened. I got out and refueled and left my door open, with fob in my pocket. Honked twice when I reentered.. Thanks again..

You can start the car before closing the door to avoid the honk.

Nope. My fob is in my pocket and I get the two horn beeps on occasion only in my home garage. No idea why. Just is. Second key fob is 35' away in my kitchen from the garage..

This scenario is always a triple honk. All "fob left in vehicle" situations are. It's a very fast three, however.

I get one honk after about 15 seconds of exiting the car and closing the door. Makes sneaking in the house kinda difficult.
