So I discovered something today
You Corvette forum veterans probably already know about this.if not all the better. I just purchased a 2014 Vert. I specifically mentioned to the seller that I needed a front license plate bracket as Massachusetts requires it. I like to show the car and hate the look up front with the bracket in place. So curiosity got the best of me and to my surprise the bracket is easily detached from the front grill. I’ve included some pictures including the manufacturer of the bracket for people that like to show their car without the front license plate showing. The bracket hooks under the center grill bar and then the spring loaded clips attach above into the grill and it’s very secure when in place.

I bought the same one (though I often forget to put it on...) and its great, very easy to put on/take off, and built very well. Great solution to the front plate issue these cars have.

Nice mount, but I really don't like that chrome frame.Consider the Pilot flexible frame:

Vettes are very noticeable especially here on Cape Cod. I’ll take the plate off when showing the car but it stays on for driving. It’s to tempting to get on the beast and get a speeding ticket let alone inviting trouble by not having the front plate in place.

I like the look of the factory aero plate on mine. Seems to be a good option for running a front plate.

I bought a 2014 yesterday. Although SD requires front and rear plates, you can now spend an additional $25 and get a plate for the rear only. But you are limited to 7,500 miles/year, which won't be any problem for me.

I have one of these for sale for $60 in the “Parts for Sale” forum if anyone is interested. Fits Stingray and I traded it for a Z06 so it won’t work for me now. It was never installed on the car other than to check for fit.
