Default Which other US automaker will the ME C8 join?

Is the FGT the only other US made ME car being currently produce? I know production for that is limited but what other cars will the C8 join. Seems to be a very small circle and if the price is right it will be in a world of its own.

The FGT is every bit as "American" as Corvette, which also has significant foreign content. It just so happens that Ford concluded that the best company to hand-assemble the car was Multimac in Canada. The goal is to only build 250 a year through 2022 for a total of 1350 per the current plan. That kind of custom hand-assembly just doesn't work at any existing Ford plant in the US or elsewhere. GM also has foreign plants.

I suppose a mass produced car would leave C8 being the only one?

The Ford is a super car. Super low volume produced and made with super car materials and craftmanship.
The vette is a MASS produced $60k car. Nothing else to say really.

I guess it should be noted the Acura NSX is built in Marysville, OH. I assume most people know that though...for the most part it's likely more "American" than the FGT.

I’m sure the OP was referring To a US based car company. Not a foreign based company that builds them here

...who said the ME is going to be mass produced? I haven't heard that anywhere I've actually read the opposite that volume is going to be 10k and it's going to be sold GLOBALLY.

10k global volume IMO. Will pass emissions in all countrys. 4.2-4L 169k

don't be shocked on the reveal date..

I'd love to have the opportunity to ride in, and or drive a new FGT. I'd like to see if there's anything there that I feel I'm missing, that would be worth buying. However, IIRC, it only has an automatic transmission. 👎

And its a car designed to race in a certain endurance class that had street legal examples produced to meet homologation rules. People seem to forget it is a class built race car, not a ***** to the walls, no holds barred supervar.

If you are talking about the two American companies you have Ford with its GT, a true super car with super low production, super high price, and super low practicality and then you have GM with no current MEs. There are a hand full of foreign manufacturers with very low volume MEs. Chief among them is Porsche. Also Honda, Lotus, Alfa, and maybe a couple of others but the numbers are very small.

Maybe some folks are missing where I said US manufacture! I don’t care about Mercedez, Lambo, Ferrari, Porsche! When I think American, I think GM, FORD, Fiat. I guess after reading that I answered my own ?. The C8 will be a Lone Ranger for the price point which is a good thing.
