Best original (parts) SWC I have ever seen
This isn't a plug for Pro Team but if they haven't messed with it since they got it, it's super nice, original. I believe the miles are accurate as well.

Love the car, have been admiring it on their website for a couple months. Do not like the price, but (historically) ProTeam will hold a car as long as it takes to get the number they want. The body lines look to be as good as it gets.

31 pics, and yet nothing showing the stamp pad nor anything of the under carriage?
$149k NOM......must be that extra piece of fiberglass!

Purchased by second owner in the mid 1970's who drove it to Indiana from California. The original motor failed on this trip. Car currently is running a Chevrolet service short block from 1975 at which time he upgraded the carburation with a period correct complete 1963 fuel injection system.

Nice, driver quality, NOM split window - even has the sloppy, factory yellow glue around the weatherstripping..
Realistic price $75K-$85K... Maybe $95K if alcohol is involved..
And that's assuming there are no birdcage/frame surprises...

The car is actually a time capsule. The first ten years of it's life it spent in California so you can guess about birdcage rust or frame rust. The last 45 years, the car has sat, undriven, in a garage covered with a sheet.
The Pro Team ad is pretty accurate but I know the block didn't have numbers stamped on it when the car got to Indiana. I believe the short block was changed in southern Illinois where the original (340) short block got a hole punched in a cylinder. The original short block has been laying in a barn all this time.
This car is nice enough, it'd make you throw stones at your high dollar restored SWC.
There's another member here who I think was driving the car when the engine went. If not, he knows about it and/or had the engine changed.
My buddy was the second (titled) owner. He was offered $100K for the car ten years ago. I don't know what he sold it for. Doesn't matter. It's a dandy.

Super pretty car. Quite a price tag. Hope he gets every dime. It’s a tiny bit curious that they don’t swap in a used original ‘63 master cylinder. That ‘64 is so obvious with the car looking so original otherwise.

Last time I saw it, the '63 cylinder was still in place.

If this were an original 360HP SWC, the price would definitely worth it, but it's not. It's basically a 340HP SWC that needs some engine restoration accompanied by a Rochester fuel injection system. What does each cost individually? Does it add up to $149K? The car is likely not an original paint car because that would clearly be advertised so it can't be a Survivor. Would I be off base to suggest that the total package is worth about $90K. $80K for the 340HP coupe that needs engine restoration plus $10K for the FE system.

I could care less what anyone believes his/her car should be valued at and I have no desire to ever own another 63 coupe. But to sit back and observe the comments is entertaining.
As I said, it’s just my opinion.

As I said - its a nice car; I'd be proud to own it, but its not a $149K car....we all know the deal...
Somebody will offer up $85K; Pro-Team will come back with a counter at $120K; the counter-counter from the interested party will be - maybe $90K. Maybe one more round of negotiations -- and the car will sell... That's just the used car biz...
Compare this to the split window SupremeDeluxe recently sold for $145K (IIRC) on BAT.....pristine un-hit body and all the correct parts and non-fuelie but original engine....

I have not seen ANY Corvette that I would pay $149K for, including the new 2019 ZR1 I looked at last fall. I worked too hard for my money to urinate it away on a car.

As for driving a new Corvette, as in C-7, no thank you. I prefer my truck-like, archaic 1961 model, which makes a '63 seem Buck Rogers modern. Not everybody wants a new car or a new car ride. I have zero, and I mean zero--- desire for a new Corvette.
