Corvette Racer with my 63
On Sunday I was invited to bring my silver 63 fuel convertible to the EyesOn Design concours, where it was part of a display of concept-to -production cars. The concept car that mine was paired with was another silver/ silver roadster, GM’s 1959 Stingray Racer. What a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Here’s a pic:
Mine’s on the left...😉

Wow! They can park the Sting Ray Racer next to one of my cars anytime they want!

It has an interesting F.I. unit: a mid-year plenum and fuel meter, with the air meter attached to an elbow mounted to the plenum.

That's very elite company you were parked next to. Then again your Corvette is very deserving to be beside such an iconic racer.

I never realized, until it was parked next to my car, just how low and long it is, and the paint color is spectacular, very luminous, must be the rumored addition of fish scales.🙂

The Stingray Racer has been through many changes since it first showed up at SCCA races in 1960, nearly 60 years ago. I think the original engine was no more than a blueprinted 283/290 FI, and no doubt that is long gone.
At one point early in its post-race career it was painted red and showed up in an Elvis Presley movie, but I don't recall the name. It's nice that it is now close to it's original configuration, especially the silver paint.

It’s interesting that in the Leno video it has chrome wheels and no numbers on the body. This must be a return to race trim.
