Welcome to forum HRT!
From your prior postings:
I see you are new since March
you want to buy your first Corvette, ever
your deepest fear is that someone, somewhere will get a better deal on a Corvette than you
you were asking if anyone knew a way to lie to Chevrolet to claim they were a corvette owner and get the $3000 Corvette Owners Loyalty Discount
and now after only four months, you know the used Corvette market forwards and backwards.
Salute!

More used C7's that they will still ask too much for? So then the new ones will still be a better deal? Yeah I can see that happening. The remaining new ones sitting in dealer stock will go a lot faster. That's my guess.

Crystal ***** are a nice thing to have, but I haven't found one that works well at this point. Maybe there will be a glut of used C7s on the market, but that's hard to say for sure.

Personally, I’d like a super low mile z06, m7 as a companion to my z51. Otherwise, I have a c7 I bought at age 38. Not waiting around until my body gives and it takes me 15 minutes to enter and exit my Corvette. Over the last 3 years, I’ve made many new Corvette friends, mostly older people in their 60s and 70s. Not a single one has said “I’m so glad I waited 60 years to buy a Corvette.
Life is short. Leave the bottom picking to proctologists. Someone will always get a lower price. Buy the damn car and put a grin on your face every time you look at it.

I'm still not seeing all these great deals on new or used. I ordered my car last august and the only difference in price now from what I paid is the 3,000 corvette loyalty that I wouldn't have qualified for since it's my first one.

I have no crystal ball but I can guess just like the next guy. I'm guessing prices will stabilize/spike briefly as people decide they don't like the C8, their local dealer is demanding ADM for an early copy, they get impatient for a new car, or they decide that owning a 1st year model of such a significant redesign is more risk than they're willing to accept. As dealer C7 inventory dwindles and there's just a few less desirably optioned copies left the prices will likely free-fall until they're all gone. Just my guess.
I'm waiting until the 18th and beyond; not because I think the bottom will drop out of the C7 market (but as a buyer I certainly hope it does, sorry guys) but because I might want a C8. I'm also considering a '20 Porsche Spyder but as a retired military officer I moved around too much and earned to little to "establish a relationship" (whatever the eff that means) with any Porsche dealer to be eligible for an early allocation and I've got the bug to get a car now-ish, not in 3 years when its finally my turn. Also considering used 991.2 Carrera S or GTS and watching their prices like I'm watching the Chevy market. I thought I wanted a 458 but decided I don't earn near enough money for that adventure .

UPeople always think that new models coming out effects the market for used models. It almost never does. People buy used cars typically because they are buying what they can comfortably afford. As to a glut of C7s because the C8 is coming out, they can only build so many C8s at a time. The supply of C8s will be no greater than he supply of C7s has been.
I personally know more than one person who has bought a new C7 because they don’t want the new mid engine car....and there will be a lot of them.

My guess is that the depreciation on manual C7s will be less than on automatic C7s with the elimination of a manual C8.

My suspicion is these forces will balance out as they do now and the depreciation on used C7s will continue with no real change with the introduction of the C8.

I don't see the glut of C7's happening anytime soon. First, the C8 most likely won't begin to appear in dealer showrooms until the end of December and those will be pre-sold. It will be at a minimum... this time next year before we see any on dealer lots and they will be at sticker or sticker plus. Compare that to Sticker minus $10,000+ for a new C7 and you won't even be in the same ballpark price wise. The people purchasing 1st year C8's and the people buying used and even new C7's are different market segments of the total Corvette buying audience.
